It was 1 to 1 until the final minute and Northfield put it in. It was a close game. I think they were saying the shots were pretty close. It was a fun game to watch.

I know absolutely nothing about Willmar, Tartan, and Simley. From what I've seen when Nfld played AL and NP I think AL will beat NP. Northfield took thier first lost tonight in a 2-0 loss to Holy Angels. The second goal came in the last seconds on an empty net. The first and third periods were close but the second is what killed Northfield. They loss energy and let up. I predict a very good game the next time these two meet.

It was a close game the whole time. I think shots were about even and the play never seemed to stay in one zone the whole time. I might be a little biased but Northfield is doing quite well right now. With an 8-0 record and 4 of those being Missota Conference games.

Northfield was down 2 to 1 going into the third period. I thought both teams fought hard despite all the penalties. It seemed like it was rarely a 5 on 5 game. I'd say the trick now for Northfield is to keep it up, something they've never seemed to be able to do in the past.

This will be an exciting season for the Missota Conference. Any team can beat any other team on any given night. I don't know how much conference match ups there have been yet except for Hutch/AHA and Northfield/New Prague, but it'll be an exciting season if everyone stays competitive.
