hey anyone know whats been going on in NF? losing the last 7 games seems odd. ??? is this a new strategy going into sections?? hope the girls can pull it together... Everything the above poser said is true, but it's so easy to make excuses like that. Nfld has been missing players and playing tough ...

Northfield 1 Shako 4 I wasn't able to see the first period and half of the game. From what I saw I thought Shako dominated the game with Nfld getting bursts from time to time. Northfield is clearly not playing their best hockey right now. I believe they're on a 5 or 6 game losing streak right now. T...

If this was played at Northfield, I am guessing the Nfld Refs tried to get them back in the game. Seen that in most of Northfields games when a team gets close to beating them! Glad to see Red Wing dominate to the end. The officiating in that game was actually quite horrible, for both sides. This b...

I know absolutely nothing about Willmar, Tartan, and Simley. From what I've seen when Nfld played AL and NP I think AL will beat NP. NP isn't as strong as they used to be and they seem to depend on just a few players. AL is a stronger team. Nfld has lost to Novas the last two years in this tournamen...

Northfield 4
Faribault 2
Northfield was down 2 to 1 going into the third period. I thought both teams fought hard despite all the penalties. It seemed like it was rarely a 5 on 5 game. I'd say the trick now for Northfield is to keep it up, something they've never seemed to be able to do in the past.

No offense to anyone, but in my eyes the Red Wing - Northfield game wasn't really that close. Shot were like 25-11 in favor of Red Wing and much of the play was in Northfield's end. Shots in the first period alone were 10-2. One of Northfield's goals was a dump in from the blue line that was mispla...

Northfield 4 Redwing 3 It was a really close game. Northfield was either ahead by one or it was tied. Northfield came out flat and didn't play well. Red Wing looked good, they don't seem to depend on just one player anymore. It'll be interesting to see if Northfield can keep up this winning streak w...

Farmington Holy Angels Shakopee And the rest would be a toss up. Even the three listed could be mixed around. I don't know a lot about Prior Lake this year. Northfield just beat New Prague which mixes things up some. Red Wing is a strong team now and its hard to count them out. This is what'll make ...

Is the gal who lay injured in the front entry ok? I was right behind her walking out and down she goes. Yeah she is fine now. Doctors said it was dehydration. I think this will be a fun season if all the teams can keep it up. Northfield especially seems to have a habit of starting strong but never ...

Northfield 6 Albert Lea 3 It was a closer game than the score indicates. Albert Lea controlled much of the game I thought but just lost it towards the end of the second period. Northfield didn't play as well as they could have. I don't know enough about Albert Lea to speak to how they did, but again...

Did anyone see the Northfield Austin game? Thoughts for either team? I didn't think either team dominated the game. Each team had times where they were controlling the play but couldn't seem to hold onto their control. Both teams looked good for it being early in the season. Northfield seemed to de...

Red Wing isn't given the credit they deserve. While it's true they have one player that stands out and is very very good, they do have other players that can play. I think part of why Northfield dropped 2 out of the 3 games against Red Wing this year is because they only focused on containing one pl...

Red Wing 3 Northfield 2 It was a very close game. Neither team dominated the entire game, I could see the momentum shifting between the teams. Northfield had the lead with 8 minutes or so left in the 3rd period but made a bad play in front of the net which gave Red Wing the chance to tie it up. It w...

Re: Austin Holiday Tourney
Vy will definitely be playing in the tournament. Jirik is out for the rest of the season, but the D have stepped up and are playing strong.RSI wrote: Jefferson will catch a break if Jarik and Vy don't play, that's the only shot they have to win that game.

What was with the Redwing win? That really messes up the section. I'm surprised they only got 2 goals. None of the Nfld girls came ready to play. They were taking dumb penalties and weren't playing their speed. I think Nfld underestimated Red Wing and didn't take them as serious opponents. It was t...

OK, let us look past Jefferson. You meet Austin and beat them. They do not have 2 of their best players. I hear they are out for 3 games. Does not the win lose its meaning? You beat a watered down team that will be at full strength in sections. A win is a win. The girls that are out let their team ...
