I know of a girl who got her first and only high school goal as an 8th grader (she was a D). It was a breakaway shot, announced over the PA system correctly. Yet on the hub, the goal was credited to someone else. Trust me, for the girl who got her first and only H.S. Goal it was important! However,...

Agree with BOWHUNTER 100%. If someone is going to have the nerve to post statistics online, broadcast them or whatever....get them right! Whether official or not. Obviously there is so much more then stats: Does coach roll 4 lines or play 2 lines? Does better goalie face the better ranked teams and ...

Re: Breck vs Lakeville South
The score for the first game in this week’s contest has been reported, and we already have our first upset: Breck 3 , Lakeville South 2 (no Game Sheet/stats are yet available, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kate Schipper's return had an impact on the result) Three of sixteen prognosticators are off...

I don't know anything about other ineligible players, but I do know that the JV goalie is a 9th grader who enrolled at a private school this fall and returned to ER, and thus gave up a season of eligibility. I was not speculating. I hope this doesn't send this thread offtrack, but enrolling in a Pr...

My kid hadnt' skated with Yuro for a number of years (3-4 years?). My kid skated alot during the Yuro summer camps when Northern Edge camps were the way to go (before they started focusing on AAA NATS). As my kid got older, now in High School my kid drifted and tried other MANY other summer training...

If the true facts are off base....then we agree to disagree. I think what they meant by off track is the title of the thread is U18 Roster, not Minnetonka kids going to play D1, kids transferring to Minnetonka, or weird parents who post that their kid is transferring (sorry a bit of a shot, but who...

GIRLS FREE ADMISSION TO THE X: an idea?
Here's another article about where girls hockey could be headed. http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/news_article/show/132905?referrer_id=115187 Think about it, eventually colleges could also drop Womans Hockey. It gets back to the basics, recruiting and getting girls interested in the game at a YOUNG A...

Same can be said on the Girls side. Their 12UA team is crushing their opponents often having to hold back. Edina easily could have had 2 top 10 12UA teams but instead chose to have 1 crushing 12UA team. #1 Ranked in myhockeyrankings.com (#3 in LPH) Their top 12UB is so outplaying the competition as ...

Yes it's true. Purely politics and posturing vs what's in the best interest of the long term girls development. This is one thing some parents don't understand or don't care to. Boards w/ experience typically understand this and generally make the right decisions in what's in the girls best interes...

Speaking from experience, the Elite II did not have very good competition, very sloppy play and slow. Looking at the Elite I, it sounds like it might be a secret as to how one actually gets on a team....Looks like they might be scared to get some real competition from girls that are not from the Me...

Not to fuel the fire, but I am curious- why is athletic develoment different than, let's say the arts. Take a kid who loves to play the piano. Do we limit their practice time, or encourage him/her to play a couple of different instruments to have a more diverse understanding of music theory? No we ...

It gets down to a couple of committed dads, grabbing some talented girls at young age (6-7 yrs old or so, 9 it's too late)....then grooming them before they choose basketball or soccer instead. This is the Grand Rapids story and the story of many other good programs. Back to recruiting......it's not...

Re: The ADM Question
The rub is that the ADM at the HPC level, the last year of peewee in Minnesota and Bantam minor in the rest of the world, calls for a year around schedule with way more total on ice hours and games than the 35 or so that Minnesota hockey deems adequate. Where does MH state that 35 games is adequate...
