More players leaving Hastings???????
The latest rumor in Hastings is that Jon Gleisner there goalie is leaving to go play Junior hockey. Can anyone in Hastings confirm that? If this is the case that team will not win 3 games all year. He is the one bright spot on that team.

National teams overrated
You guys put way to much on these camps I can tell you that things change by the minute. If you look at this years NHL draft, there were only 7 kids drafted out Minnesota High School Hockey. Derek Stepan from Hastings never made any of these National teams and was the second American forward taking ...

Stepan
I would agree about Stepan, He is one of the greatest kids around. I wish he was a Gopher. I also think it speaks volumes that he decided to come back to graduate with his classmates. If I was drafting, this is a quality I would be looking for. He might be a big surprise on draft day. Good luck to h...

O Town
O town great job!!! Shattuck has a 150 year history in Faribault. They have a 62 acre beatuiful school, why would they move it. If you have never seen the school inside you would never understand. If people new what this place has done for kids you would not bash it. Tom Ward and JP Parise could car...

Shattuck
Tenover you are a hockey guy. You truley get it. You could not have said that better. Shattuck produces 4th lines guys into hockey players. They have all but 1 senior that has a D1 ride right now. Tom Ward is considered one of the top U18 coaches in the country, and this is why. He produces "Ho...

Shattuck
I have said this before on this site. The Shattuck team is not a All star team. They have two lines of kids that have learned to play the game at a higher level. Tom Ward is considered by alot of people the best U18 coach in the Country. If you look at the track record of him producing great hockey ...

Shattuck
This is the first time in Shattuck school history that they have won back to back titles. Thats pretty impressive considering the players that have went through there. They did it without David Toews also, I guess he did not play a game in the tourney. (ACL Sprain). I see Derek Stepan led the Tourne...

I agree Kristo and Stepan have to come to play every night. I also agree that these two will be very high draft picks in June. I have not seen Kristo play in a year, but I did see Stepan in the Elite Leauge, and in Plymouth about 4 months ago, and he was very good. Minnesota High School Hockey is goo...

First two rounds
Ness, Gardiner, and Stepan will all go in the top 40 picks. Pretty awesome that we have 3 kids from Minnesota in the top 40. I guess wait and see. Good luck to all Minnesota boys.

Sticksuphigh I agree with you 100% from what I have heard and have seen. Ness, Gardiner, and Stepan will be the highest three Minnesota kids. I think all three have been added to the USA U18 Team that will be in Moscow, Russia next month. I think all three are alternates at this point. That Central ...

Joke
This thing is a joke. It is a money maker. The only people in the stands are mom and dad. I did this thing the last two years, everyone said that there will be WCHA Coaches, NHL Scouts there. Did not see one the whole week. Oh yeah the guy who runs it was a assistant coach at the U 20 years ago. Sta...

Good for Stepan, he has worked his ass off the last couple of years. I got to play with him as a bantam. He deserves this. He made a big decision giving up his Junior and Senior year to play at Shattuck, and it sure looks like it was the right one. He will represent us very well. How does this team ...

I wish he would take the Long Praire/ Grey Eagle job, so the 1st year Bantams dont have to go through what the last two teams have. Hey Mule is it all about money? If it is he is in it for the wrong reason. The booster program had 300 kids sign up this last summer to skate, where was Russ, oh yeah h...

Hey Cabela10 why don't you go to Hastings and talk to the youth program. You might not have such a big mouth. We all are praying that he does not get ahold of the 1st year Bantams. This group has a chance. If he is still hear I can guarentee more defections. He should take one of the assistants jobs...

Hey Al Secord, did you play against Welch and Housley or what? Did one of these guys beat you out of a position? I know kids left and he does nothing for the youth programs, but why won't the High School get rid of him? I have talked to alot of youth coaches and parents down there and they are not l...

Does a 17 year old kid owe a 45-50 year old adult anything. I guess I would say he has more character if he desides to leave his buddies to pursue his dreams. I am not one to judge. If a family thinks it's a good choice, I have to respect that. Ryan Mac from Cretin was already big enough and strong ...

Dont cost, Are you saying that a kid should not reach for his goals because his friends might get mad. That is awful. When he gets a promotion at work should he not take because his co-workers might get mad? The kids that are leaving want more than a 26 game season, better competion, and for the mos...
