Are there really parents who would approve? MSHL does not specify countries where a kid is of legal age - I think the word "no" says it all.

This new rule is horrible. My son was going to a private school and decided to opt back to his public school a few miles away to be with his friends the last two years of high school. We did move him just prior to this ruling so he is now making a difference at his public school - but I don't think ...

Simley vs. NSP 1/3/08

today i witnessed the worst case of officiating ever in high school hockey. Simley won their first game over NSP... 4-3 in overtime. Refs had so many kids in the box that there was standing room only. sinking low spot for NSP was the last goal which brought the NSP goalie to anger ive never seen. Th...

I've known most of the Hill players since they were mites, same w/ NSP, Tartan. Aside from 1-2 standouts on each.. and North has two - Orme & goalie Horner... all things are equal - UNTIL you hit the level of commitment that the SCHOOL puts into the program. If North wanted to succeed, their AD ...

There can be only so many kids on each team - so it's not the numbers, it's the recruiting - which will change in the next few years as kids will actually need to live in the district now.

Let's face it - it's also how the program is managed at the school from the AD through the coaching.

So how does a school like North St. Paul compete with these other schools? I have to admit, they have excellent programs... but NSP has some really talented kids on their team too. You just rarely get a chance to hear about them year after year. Why not put all the private schools into their own con...

Re: Regarding Joe...

I wish him well at NSP when he gets there, but I'm not sure his style of play will actually help dig the Polars out of the hole they've been in the last few years.
The only thing that will get NSP out of t...

Found this thread. I was there and I have tape on what happened - our coach's brother tapes every game. It doesn't say who said what, but Doran was ON TOP of our #6, holding him by the helmet and hitting his head into the ice. Tartan's coach, Larson's dad, got ejected for mouthing off during the gam...

I was referring to the baseball w/ his dad. Given the dynamics that Joe brings to the ice, and the fact that he will be playing with 5-8 boys that he won PeeWee Districts and about 2 dozen 1st & 2nd place trophy's with growing up, should be fun. Regarding Joe not being selfish enough, lots of bo...

Tartan is a lot better this year than last. As along as anyone except Hill gets it, I'm satisfied. We'll see a lot of changes in the coming 2-3 years as those private schools can't recruit into their districts any longer.

Regarding Joe...

Joe is at North High but playing @ Johnson. We happily welcome him back to NSP teams next year! You can't blame Joe for wanting to play for his dad in HS - and now that Jim isn't there, you can't blame him for wanting to be w/ his friends at NSP. Joe is a class act, never brags about himself - true ...
