From a coaching standpoint, it's all about identifying with your players. If you've got you're players on board, and believing in you first, then the sky's the limit. On the flip side, if you run things like a drill sergeant...look out, that will certainly come back to haunt you unless you're coach...

A high school head coach should not dictate or get involved with the youth program. The coaches in the youth program should be qualified to teach there kids the game of hockey and get them to be better hockey players. I do not agree with the concept that a high school coach tells the youth program ...

Teams like who they like. GM's are going to base jack and crap on the CSS rankings. I'd be shocked if Ness isn't the first Minnesotan picked. That said, watch in June and you'll see how they go. Well put. Ness is not hype, he is the real deal. That is why he was Mr. Hockey.  :mrg...

Re: JGB Mr. Hockey & Goaltender of the Year
Now that the season is over, who do you think would win the Mr. Hockey or goaltender of the year award at the JGB level? I only saw a handful of games throughout the JGB season so my knowledge is limited. And I will only talk about my top three forward picks. I'll leave defense and goalies for some...

RAVE over Edina or Lakeville. They're a deeper team, they play smart defensively and a few of their guys are faster than most at this level. Honestly, they'll have their hands full. Whoever wins the Lakeville/Edina game will come to compete. But I wouldn't doubt it if any of the above teams get knoc...

Top JGB teams
I've been following the LPH rankings and it seems like there are several good teams in JGB. One team in particular that interests me are the RAVE. They apparently have lost only one game this season and it was a non-conference game. I just learned they took the championship at the Albert Lea Tourney...
