hockbandit, I played in Jr. Fest last year and was placed in B pool. At first of course it seemed as though they just wanted to make money by not cutting any girls. When we played the competition was good and I had fun. I wouldn't say many D1 schools were watching the B pool teams but who knows this...

They only sour grapes I smell is coming from Chaska. Yeah you won in a sloppy game, Good for you. You seem very, very sour about winning... I guess there is always a first time for everything. Now, Concentrate on getting the girls ready for your next game. Don't let the bigger, stronger, faster tal...

Yes C Lacombe was hurt but you can't take away the hard work the rest of the EP team put in. Don't blame a loss on one girl being gone. I wasn't at all... my favorite team has played Chaska and EP and I know how they both can play... I was just curious... I would (put the loss on the one player bei...

Just because chaska isn't your stupid eden priarie team doesn't mean they don't have talent, gopher9 Never said they didn't have talent! Not 5 D1 players though! Like I said Dani Williams has the potential with her size and strength. The rest are all D3. Dated Thursday Oct. 8, 2009 well catie ladne...

So this is totally irrelevant, but I was just reading back to a post from when the current seniors were sophomores. A few people had doubts that any chaska girls would be going D1. Dani Williams is committed and I know for a fact that Catie Ladner has been getting offers. Congrats to these girls for...

Re: Captains Practice and Fall Sports
Does the MSHSL allow players to participate in Captains Practice if they are playing a fall sport? I say yes because Cpts is not an "official" HS sport. Others say they can't????? Also, what the heck happened to Cpts Practice? Back when I played it was the Captains running some drills and...

The win of a 'B' pool team over an 'A' pool team only proves that anything can happen in hockey and that it is more than skill that influences who wins on the ice. It definitely reminiscent of the line in the movie Miracle -- I'm not looking for the best players, I'm looking for the right players. ...

laker9, i agree with you on some of these things but i don't think a girl would not come because of her pool. Tomorrow are crossover games and all 4 games will be looked at by both D1 and D3 coaches. If some girls in B pool really belong in A pool they will have their chance to prove that tomorrow....

Chaska was weak in net. Watching the Chaska Shako game that night really showed what a great team Chaska really is, when they play like a team. Yes I give credit for the goalie for playing the rest of the game with a hurt elbow but come on suck it up. There was no excuse for her ducking out of the w...

yes im sorry but jefferson is already out of the section and has no chance. as for the chaska shakopee game, gmom29, a goalie is a target in hockey. if a goalie cant handle a slapshot in warmups they may need to work on that. if you think a girl wont wind up from the top of the circles to take a sho...

I think he means that EP is arrogant, cocky, and cheap. ....one girl cross checked a chaska player 3 times straight, a chaska player was checked from behind, or a chaska play was slashed in the head as an eden praire player made her dramatic trip to the penalty box. Alcohol lowers your inhibitions,...

gopher9 must have not attended the game. either that or he is from Eden Praire and is embaressed for the fact that one girl cross checked a chaska player 3 times straight, a chaska player was checked from behind, or a chaska play was slashed in the head as an eden praire player made her dramatic tri...
