Joe, I haven't watched Hill except for the last 2 days. I have watched Hopkins several times before this weekend. I thought they were struggling to move the puck and never really had any flow. Hill was beating Hopkins to the puck regularly.

I just expected the play to be tighter by both teams.

HM - Hopkins

HM 3 - Hopkins 0

Hopkins didn't control the puck and it really wasn't what you would have expected out of the 2 teams imo.

I thought there was a noticeable difference in the flow between the two pools. I am not convinced that this format led to better quality of games or looks by the coaches, but MGHCA has their reasons for wanting to do it this way. Glad the opportunity is there for the girls.

Ms. Wedell is a great kid and player. My comment had nothing to do with whether she is a good kid or player. She will do well playing D1 hockey. Good luck to her. This was not a criticism or lack of respect for her. There are others in the conference deserving of respect as well. Others have turned ...

LOL...wow, struck a nerve? It's a good thing that you guys are on here to set it straight. Glad you think she was the D, I am sure that with only one D they would have gone far, that's brilliant. Deception? Puckeater, with one post? Lol, no - just filling in names to the very typical and short list ...

D in the SEC that should be on your list: Stillwater: Skoog and Hewes - these two matured a lot over the last season. Hewes looked like an upper classman in the state tournament. She was smart, composed and very savy with the puck. Skoog started to be more physical and it elevated her game. Moundsvi...

It looks like several of the rosters were built around opportunity for those seniors that needed to be seen by the D3 scouts. Some sections put a bunch of kids that are already committed and others didn't. I wish the MGHCA would make up their mind on whether this is about opportunity or an all star ...

They didn't post them last year until the day of either. I assume they don't want to listen to any complaints.

I can tell you that it will be amusing to see who is on the list in some sections that have a lot of seniors.

Maybe some of you should watch the game instead of waxing so eloquently about strength of schedule, reality checks, and everyone should shake in their boots if somebody gets by somebody else on here. Get real. Every year some teams that you all think are automatics lose and someone that "doesn'...

It was a good game and hats off to Irondale to getting the conference title, good luck in Section play! Just to be accurate, with the 2-1 win Irondale tied BSM for the North Suburban Conference title. BSM beat Irondale 2-0 the first time they played, and they finished with identical 13-1 records. J...

Irondale 2 BSM 1 Heck of a game last night. Irondale ran two lines all night long and dominated much of the game, but couldn't put anything behind the BSM goalie. Irondale scored shorthanded midway through the first and Benilde answered on that powerplay. Meghan Lorence had 3 breakaways in the 2nd ...
