Re: Aus comment

I think all Aus was pointing out is that the Blaine goaltending was not sharp last night and Lee was...and Blaine couldn't afford to fall behind 3-0 and have any chance against Roseau...I don't think he truly mean't what the quote states but was saying it in jest, more out of frustration than anyth...

Wow. That is truly impressive!!!

Most players that I know only need to play with one cup.

Roseau will play a better game on Friday night. Ness will dominate and control the game from start to finish.

Roseau wins 5-2.

Well, enough about Blaine (that's the rearview mirror). Time to bring on the Pioneers of H-M!!! That's not going to be the blowout that the Roseau-Blaine game was but Roseau's going to win that one by two or three goals...particularly if Roseau plays its top game (which it clearly did not do tonight).

The number of students is, in my opinion not a factor. Look at the list of state champs in the last two decades of the unified class and then say that again with a straight face. I’m not arguing that student enrollment is the sole factor of success. But, to say this: The number of students is, in m...

The Bantam A team comes from the Peewee A team, and again is the same size as Roseaus. Want to keep going? Your logic is severly faulted. You keep talking about bodies, but were only concerned about hockey players aren't we. Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. Where do the Mites come from? Edina, for e...

You didn't answer my question..Did they, or do they regularly have to cut players? Let’s stipulate that they don’t have to cut players. That doesn’t disprove my point. All it says—as I’ve said above—is that some larger schools are simply failing to capitalize on the inherent advantage that a larger...

Yes, it is painful to have to point out such an obvious fact . But, it is, apparently, necessary to do so when people claim that a huge enrollment confers no advantage to a school.

There is no superiority. Both schools have the same amount of kids on the Bantam A team. And the Bantam A team is drawn from a larger pool of potential talent [/i] in a community like Edina than the Bantam A team draws from in a community like Roseau. Now, whether a school takes advantage of the in...

Well, for you naysayers: Let's say you have a school with 25 boys in it and another school with 1,000 boys in it. Which has more kids to choose from to create a 25-member team roster? The larger schools have an inherent superiority [/i] because they have a larger pool of potential players to choose ...

Opportunity of High Student Enrollment

Blaine has (roughly) 2,900 students and Roseau has (roughly) 410 students.

In simple terms:

Blaine has about 60 kids to choose from to find each player on its team.

Roseau, on the other hand, has only 8 kids to choose from to find each player on its team!!!

Re: post 10088

I've already seen Semi-Final tickets going for 60 dollars and up per ticket. I just bought a package of four tickets for the entire Class AA sessions for $450 (center ice, lower bowl). Let’s subtract just [/i] the face value of the Quarterfinals games ($104) from that. So, the remaining $346 would ...

Tracking Scalped Ticket Prices (Outside of Xcel)

For those of you buying scalped tix outside of the Xcel on Thursday, please post what you ended up paying here. I think it will help other buyers if buyers know what the "going rate" is. I'm planning on picking up a couple of tix for the Friday and Saturday AA games. Personally, I'll be in...

Re: Roseau-Blaine game

Seems odd that the number 1 ranked team should have to play Blaine, a higher ranked team than teams 2, 3 & 4 play against in the first round. And then, they be placed in the same bracket as Hill, who was ranked higher than Benilde. I smell a rat!! No matter...Roseau will just go out and play gr...

Teams pay around $90 per jersey if they buy all of them together as one order. If teams were to sell individual jerseys after every year, they would have to replace individual jerseys every year. If they were to order just 1 or 2 custom jerseys at a time, the prices would skyrocket. So if two or th...
