Overrated?? I think it was just a very difficult section, which they did end up getting through. Yes they only have two lines and have young defense, but they still have played big in the big games(minus benilde the first time and of course roseville). Very deserving of the 2 seed in the tournament ...

Seen both play. Benilde has much more depth for forwards but SLP's D are pretty solid and I have to give the goaltending to Benilde although Nelson is solid for SLP. It will be interesting to see how SLP responds after suffering their first loss. I will take Benilde by a couple in this one.

I think their program is on the rise a little bit but state material? They will be no where near state material, especially when South St. Paul, Mahtomedi, STA, and TG are in their section.

They have two good defensemen...a decent goalie(hot and cold)...and ok forwards coming back...they lost their two top scorers so someone is going to have to step up...the only thing is, they still have South St. Paul, Mahtomedi, Totino-Grace, and St. Thomas in their section so I don't see many heads...

Patrick Borer BSM

I read in the Star Tribune right under the article about Benik that Borer from BSM verbally commited to Nebraska-Omaha.

He is definately very talented but a bit undersized for a defensemen? Could he maybe move to forward?

Congratulations regardless.

I think it is a huge win for the panthers and a huge dissapointment for the eagles. Also with St. Francis beating St. Louis Park 8-2 2nd place in the North Suburban is up for grabs and it will be interesting to see who will finish behind Benilde (I don't see them losing). Not the best teams in the N...

Irondale plays Benilde tough only losing 4-3. As i mentioned before Benilde is not the same team and when they don't show up they are very capable of being beaten. They were outplayed in the first and third and were basically given two shorties not to mention Iorndale was without their top defenseme...

this is technically not an official game rather a scrimmage, this would put Irondale's regular season game total to 26 making it illegal, regardless Irondale should have no problems running the score up tonight

altricher isnt all that great...he looked terrible in the advanced 16's got lit up for five goals in the championship and had terrible body language after

5AA
Danny Harper for Blaine and Lance Bortot for Irondale are both very solid.

Benilde has no depth, lost too much of their scoring, yes they will always be good but they are very vulnerable to losing against the mediocur teams in the conference.

Even though Benilde, Totino, and St.Louis Park are all down I think they will still be the true contenders for the title....Irondale and Spring Lake Park should be alright and are capable of upsetting the top teams.
