I suspect the fact that none of those quality wins are against top 10 teams keeps them out of #1!Goalie-Dad wrote:What does MV need to accomplish to be ranked #1?
Record is 21-0-1. Quality class AA wins over Wayzata, Roseville, Stillwater (twice), Hastings and Elk River.

Here is a list of the top 20 defenders and the top 25 forwards. I went this deep to get some of the metro kids on the list. You can also see the SOS. I also added total goals scored by the team they play for. I have stats from two different sites, Coaches association (you may change stats at a late...

Hockey does have to be ran like a business in order to succeed. If you don't think there is a business side to hockey you are in a dream world. In a totally unprecedented move, I am going to side with Ho, on this particular point, anyway. :-k Hockey associations are ridiculously political, and they...

So true. This organization masquerades as having the elite Minnesota hockey players, while most realize there are some excellent players involved, many other elite players didn't even get a chance to tryout! Until more players get a shot, this will never be much more than a league for parents. I do...

Re: Girls High School Section 8AA Favorite
I guess my point is that at the HS level you want to field the best team if that means there are 8th graders better than some of the HS players why wouldn't you want them on the team? Don't get me wrong I am all for the kids playing at their age level to develope their skills and I also understand ...

Re: Girls High School Section 8AA Favorite
This section may come down to best goatending. Who is the best Goaltender? Geisler of Elk River is a 9th grader and a very good goalie. Don't rule North Wright County out (Monticello/Annandale/St. Michael), they have a nice pipeline of players and really don't lose anyone from last years young team...

Now if this is true then their kid plays hockey in Buffalo...

Re: Tryouts for this new league will be held this Friday and
Will they get enough players that they will need to have tryouts? I'm thinking the good players, the ones who feel "snubbed" by the "Elite League" are going to do other things!g-hockeymom wrote:Does anyone know if the tryouts are open to spectators and the time/location?
