I would add St. Louis Park Bantam A team into the mix. Very deep team with a number of impressive wins. This squad will make some noise in the D3 District playoffs this year. Except that they were very good last year, so it isn't really...well, surprising. DMom...St. Louis Park was better than they...

May I say that I enjoy threads like this because I am so happy that myself and my son are no longer part of the drama of youth hockey :) I've seen it all and I don't miss it :D PoniesDad, you do miss it. Why else would you be reading a youth hockey forum when your kids are "no longer part of i...

Actually Edina's board members had gatorade, pizza etc all waiting for our Roseau Bantam A players so that they wouldn't have to stop on their way home after that 3rd place game...so in all honest thats pretty respectful if you ask me. As long as you are sending out recognition to the Edina Assoc. ...

I did not see the game but in speaking with a few folks, on both sides, OMG controlled most of the play against a Blaine squad that had a few kids missing.

Advanced 15

Has the final Advanced 15 roster been determined with the kids going to Rochester? My understanding is that both the selectee's and the alternates (30 kids) are participating in a National Pre Camp in Blaine this week. This must be an addition to the process because I do not see it listed on the Min...

I had the opportunity to catch a couple of the games this afternoon and the White squad looks pretty strong. They beat the Royal team 6-1 and controlled most of the play. White has a number of forwards with speed and size. I did not see the final score but Gold was up 2-1 over gray late in the game....

The kids were sure dissappointed that there is NOT going to be a banquet on Thursday evening. I heard that there was no banquet this year and quite honestly was a little surprised. These eight teams have worked incredibly hard to get to the State Tournament and to have no recognition for the boys i...

It's interesting that you wait to ask this question at the end of the year. The reality is they are a good team but not a top tier team. They had a good run through the D6 playoffs but they were exposed during regions.

blaine is in championship, and egf. I heard that Moorhead got screwed over. From what I hear they lost 5-6 to andover which should of put them in the championship, but then the directer changed one of the rules... so the official rule book was wrong My gut tells me we are missing a few facts here. ...

Advanced 15 Program

This year the 95 kids are eligible for the Advanced 15 Development program. Im curious to hear from folks that have been through the program before on a couple points. First, is the program invitation only or can you lobby for a player? Second, it appears that a pretty wide net is cast allowing most...

Edina Holiday Tournament Results

Post Edina Peewee and Bantam tournament results here.

I caught the 3rd period of the Elk River OMG Bantam game. OMG appeared to be the stronger team and had the Elk's pretty well bottled up. Great effort by the ER goalie who faced close to 40 shots.

This looked to be a good D2/D3 match up but OMG took control from the drop of the puck. In looking at the OMG web site it looks like they are in the EP Tourney and based on what I saw last night they could be a factor.

Mpls/Park possibly with a win over Coon Rapids and a very close 1 goal loss to OMG could be a suprise again. We followed this game in Maple Grove and it was not as close as you make it sound. The ponies look to be off to a fast start but I wouldn't say the competiiton over the past few days has been stellar. Have they ran into any solid competition yet? They are in our district and I would like to get a gauge on how strong they are this year.

Warrior Cup Scores

Interested if anyone was able to catch any of the 95 games and which teams looked good. Looking at the pools I would say the Magicians, CCM, and Edge had the best shot but I have not been able to find any scores.

Please post a link if there is one.

We're still with Minnesota made. We plan on skating in the squirt league next year just because the hours is so much more than association hockey. 85 versus 145 at the made. Just what a 5th grader needs...145 hours of ice time. Averaging almost an hour of ice a day for 4 months is probably right up...

Re: One95

The NikeBauer One95. Naslund curve is very nice. Before peewees the stick won't make much of a difference though. I'd go with grip but it's personal preference. I have a high school player and a peewee player and we have gone through a number of different composite sticks. If you are a higher end p...
