Dirtflop, How can you say that Mayo didn't have one of the better JV teams this year. They only lost four games and only two of them were in the Big 9 in which both were to Owatonna. They beat everybody else not once but twice. There other two losses were to Champlain Park and Duluth East. You need ...

Mayo will be down next year due to losing alot of seniors. The two transfers from Austin were there best players and from what I have heard they are pretty good and will fill holes that Mayo would have had. The JV only lost four games all season and two of them were from champlain park and Duluth Ea...

Simply because air time is bought and is very expensive. Ratings would come into effect here and it would not be financially worth putting the 3rd place games on the air. Nobody would buy advertising for the cost of it to have nobody watching.

Faribault will be the team to beat next year hands down. Owatonna will be alright as well. Otherwise alot of parity amongst the others. Within the JV programs I would have to say Owatonna and Mayo had the better JV prorams this year. Mayo lost to Owatonna twice and to Chaplan Park and Duluth East ot...

Hey nickel slots. I am pretty sure that most people that are posting in regards to kids choosing to enter the ushl realize what you said. Nobody on this topic has said every kid has this option. The kids that everybody is referring to is the one's that are givin the opportunity by these hockey clubs...

In regards to the question whether kids would elect to jump over to the ushl it gets a little more complicated here in the future for this question. The new development within USA hockey which I hear is on hold right now would definitely put a twist on this question whether kids look for better opti...

This is good news for now. I think if the League was going to limit games they would have to do it now during this meeting and not wait until april or this summer. However, the scrimmages/jamborees issue was tabled which I believe something will be reduced here at one of the next meetings. This will...

Mayo-DC game is postponed to tommorow. It's sounds like Mayo-DC will play at 5:30 along with Loureds-Faribault at graham arena. The 11:30 game on Saturday had always been scheduled for this time at the Rec.

Even though it wasn't that much of a surprise that DC beat JM I didn't think that is would be dominated by DC. Shots I believe were 35 to 16 (WOW). I would understand if this happened against mayo-Century_Lakeville or whatever but to lose in that fashion to DC tells me that JM even though they are y...

I will take Red Wing to take it all. I agree Lourdes on paper is the strongest and the most talented team in the section hands down. But, they proved that they can't consitently put together a string of games where they play well and during sections if you cannot do this a team such as albert lea or...

I agree that this is not the solution to cutting back on expenses. Cutting back to 20 games would definitely impact this sport. This is something that would start happening that is already happening in the Southeast (Big 9 Conference). Teams would start playing certain teams in there conference 1 ga...

I agree that Mayo will and should get the #1 seed regardless of the outcome of this game. Century getting beat by both lakeville schools dampers them. This game mabye has some bearing on Century's seed for the sections in regards to Lakeville North. However North beating South the other night defini...

This should be a great game with a packed house. Mayo's 7 game winning streak came to an end against albert lea last night but for good reason. They simply didn't come to play. This was a good eye opener for Mayo heading into sections. I think Mayo will play with a little more urgency tomorrow and g...

Mayo vs. Albert Lea tonight. Should be a good game. I will take Mayo 4-2 . Mayo outplayed them in there own barn on Saturday and I believe that will happen again tonight in AL. Shut down AL first line and the game is over. Anybody else?

Goldy you hit it right on the mark. I attended the mayo vs. Lakeville game last night and lakeville is certainly more talented. Lakeville's first line is phenomenal but they consentrate to much on scoring and not playing any defense. Lakeville made to many mistakes on the D which allowed 2 breakaway...

I really don't think There are better times for Austin anytime in the near future. I heard that Austin's bantams this year are playing Bantam B (Wow). I heard that Century was outshot 50 to 11 or something like that. Probably not going to be the same when they meet again. But nonetheless it really shows what can happen when your goalie gets hot. What a game to build on for Century especially when mayo was beat by Duluth East 7-3. Should be interes...

The big game that is going to give you an idea who will win the big 9 is this thursday mayo vs. albert lea. I really don't think west will be in contention as much as these two teams. Owatonna if they find out how to play consistent will be a factor as well. Century getting beat by J.M last night re...
