Bemidji took the game 6-2. Monticello looked over matched but considering they were missing 4 of their top 9 forwards, I was not surprised. Very clean game with only 2 or 3 penalties called. Looks like Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake will have a real deal Freshman in Gage Torrell. Everyone I talk to says he is one of the best at his age. Where is his older brother at now? MAML could be pretty good if they can keep him around.

I heard from someone who was there that Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake beat Mora 4 to 1, beat Sauk 5 or 6 to 3 (one goal scored that the coaches on ice did not see), and beat Pine City 5 to 0. Did not get any other info however. Was anyone there to report on the other games?
