Tryouts in the spring and more expensive? You are talking about AAA teams, not the clubs. It is not the rest of the country it is apples and oranges. Clubs everywhere have fall tryouts, some sooner and some a bit later. Last thing we need is more regulation. It is somewhat ironic that USA and Minnes...

nMN, why don't you enlighten us with your wisdom of why the Fire is not a WI club? Try telling that to the Wisconsin players. Why don't you tell us what your real bone is with this club? You seem to be on top of what is going on with their teams. No bones with Fire, I think it is a great program......

Re: Fire
Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but just checked the WAHA site, and didn't see the Fire out there in the state tournament brackets. What's up? Well, besides the fact that Fire is not really a WI club to begin with, they don't have 96 or 94 team this year. Minors don't have state tournament in WI.

Re: Good?
If you live in Minnesota and are confused, it is probably because "AAA" is used as an umbrella term for club hockey. I think most of what passes for AAA is unsanctioned. That is kind of what I thought... What I am hearing is that there is no real AAA organization...right? If there is, wha...

Sounds like the only snob here is you and please don't talk about things you obviously have no clue about.Marty McSorely wrote:The simple answer is that only rich kids would play AAA. Some associations would suffer but most would benefit from the rich snobs leaving.

A point of view from WI
Actually a few: 1. Those few AAA teams in WI do not have all the best kids in the state, especially Green Bay which is in NE part of WI has just a few kids from out of immediate GB area. 2. For those who oppose AAA in MN - AAA in WI, IL, MI and other states is an option. If you can't afford it or do...

Re: bigger base?
As I understand it, the Green Bay club picked up two or three kids from the folded Milwaukee AAA 96 team who wanted to continue playing AAA rather than go back to club hockey (some others went to Chicago for AAA), the rest come from the greater GB area I believe. And perhaps there's a bigger overal...
