I doubt the Wild will draft Schroeder if they still have Bouchard on contract for a while. They have a small, puck moving, fast forward in him already why draft another? Granted if they don't plan on keeping Bouchard around that's another story.

Did Boyd for sure accept already? Makes sense - he already played two years of Varsity. Very nice player - wish him luck. Also makes sense for McNeely - didn't get much opportunity at STA this year and he is very talented. Any other MN boys get offers or is that it? I heard Van Voorhis accepted alr...

Re: edina/ giles

your dead wrong "people in the know" do want giles out. The problem is the old a.d. protected him 3 years ago and the new a.d. doesn't have the spine. But, count on this the army is comming and will keep comming until shorty is gone for good!! The people I have talked to from Edina, inclu...

I would take Hill. Forwards that could challenge the Ep defense and Defense that could stop the Ep forwards. Hill runs deeper and although they had no Leddy if Phillipi played the way he did last years state tourney they would win without a doubt.

Re: Eden Prairie

EP was built to win a title, Edina was built to get press. Their first, which is worth pointing out. Easy to question why teams don't win more, harder to actually do it. (Reading some of the above posts, me wonders why no one is saying, "how come Eden Prairie has only won one state title...I m...

Now your just getting cocky. I did see a few times when a ref blatantly got in the way of players or passes whether it was the "extra" ref or not it happened. The worst was the one on the H-M d, he ran into the kid and it gave Ep a 2 on 1. The kid was skating backwards so I'd say the ref n...

Sometimes players play bad games as well and I think that might have been the case here. Sure the coach can say all sorts of things but sometimes, especially with a venue like the X, players get nervous and lose their hands or something like that. That was my observation.

I thought Edina vs. Benilde last year was an unbelievable game. It was back and forth all the way until Edina won it late in OT.

Not only that but this one set that attendance record at 19,500 something.

SSM lost to Benilde last year. Also lost to AHA two years ago I think. So they were 2-2 with MN high school teams before this year.

It's amazing how much DogLover, Scoreboard and hornetsnest have this Hornet team figured out! Now for my opinion. So far Everson and Lee have been the most consistent forwards. People seem to think Everson is living off of Lee, but whenever I get a chance to watch it seems like he creates a lot of h...

Baker the best player on the ice? He's a great player but not only has he played better there were other guys on his team that were better than him out there.

Edina had 58 shots after the 3rd period. I'm guessing they had at least 5 or 6 in OT also. All that meaning Fons is one hell of a goalie.

I thought the coaches from the section ranked the teams?

I may be wrong but if that is the case then Jefferson's 25-0 record up against a 23-2 record of Edina could swing either way.

The reasons for the first goal were very known. The ref had blown the whistle before it went in not only that it was kicked in. Great game though back and forth.

The goalies on both teams were sophomores and both played pretty good.

Edina's first line is Everson, Gaarder and Lee now, and the three together combine for 105 points.

I'll agree with that, Faust probably has more upside, but as of right now Baker is a better player. In the D zone it would be hard to find anyone better than Baker.
