Travis is likely one of the last to come in as a true high schooler. Pretty sure the U staff wants to avoid this practice as much as possible. Its Way to early to determine the kids future success. Born in Sept/93. Either an old sr in high school or young college freshman. Decisions made every year...

Selfishly, I wish he and Michaelson would have stuck together and taken a run at a State title. They were good this year. They would be scary good together next year. Best of luck! It is a little disappointing that they won't be sticking around. But truthfully I think even if they did stay, they wo...

Apple Valley is an interesting one. They lose gretz and in the past this group of seniors always had olson, so goaltending could be a question mark. They also will have to get over the hump that is eagan. Which is a team laden with good juniors. They, however, do keep key components on both offense...

Someone is pushing pretty hard for his PR. Got a blurb in the StarTribune this morning. Excellent player and don't know if I'd trade him for Michaelson. Kloos is a very good playmaker and Michaelson is not. Kloos is a 93 and Michaelson is a 94 but both are juniors. Not very observant are you? Not e...

Re: Eden Prairie D
Good afternoon, After watching the EP Eagle D corp last night vs. AV.... why haven't any DI programs snatched up Seeler and/or Molenaar? I mean they play a great brand of hockey and are still very responsible in the their own end. I watched Everson play with Edina vs Wayzata as comparison. To me, t...

Re: Who is reall broken?
It really stinks that the college hockey world is requiring these kids to go off to juniors for a year or two. How many high school seniors get sent off for a couple years before they hit school. Maybe schools should do the right thing and red shirt the kids let them get thier feet under them as st...

Re: Woog?
He's skipping his senior year of high school, hence HE IS EARLY. Draft age and school age are not the same. I think what he is getting at is Bjugstad was born on July 17, 1992. This means he will be 18 this July, which if he was going to be a senior next year would make him very very old for his gr...

there should be a good atmosphere tonight. The Tonka - Hill matchup is a solid Public vs Private school game. Both schools have enough students to get solid chants going back and forth. Unfortunately I have been to several Tonka games and I haven't seen any leadership in the fans gettting chants go...

I'm curious: is Apple Valley good enough to be in the State Tournament now? or do they need to win another game to deserve it? Maybe its just me, but I think that game was more fun to watch than if EP or Wayzata had played Blaine and won. Its what the tournament is all about, and its why 70,000+ pe...

Re: General atmosphere
It seems the past couple years or more, the atmosphere during the games has been pretty blah - other than when goals are scored. It seems to me I remember that the crowd noise used to always rise in volume as the puck was in each end.... The East fans going nuts when the puck in the H-M zone.... an...

A little followup here: Goals by defense: AV 21 Blaine 15 Penalty kill I could not find. Harper vs Gretz - for one game who knows? History says Harper has equal stats with a tougher schedule plus a ton more experience, including State Tourney experience. AJ's injury: If he missed 8 games, he was qu...

I like blaine in this one but don't be surprised if AV gives them a real run. As for the speed part..the fastest player in this game will be Michaelson..there is a reason he's being chased around by the ndtp and wisconcin and who knows how many other programs. I'm not an AV guy but this kid can fla...
