Thanks for the clarification, Rudy. Any idea where the newspaper would've found their information? Apparently they didn't check the game sheet either.

Would hope the bigger picture is part of your perspective regarding this matter, in any case.

And the announcer had a third opinion - WHAT, is all I can say. Nice cover to those of you offering your opinions... I was at the game, I watched the play. 8) I don't really care who gets the assist, except that I find it odd for a player to score a point when he's on the bench. I fin...

East @ FLake game & scoring

There have been a number of threads here dealing with the issue of phantom points scored. For the first time, I witnessed it happening. Score tied in the 3rd period 1-1, Welinski takes shot from point, Lutzka gathers rebound shoots, goalie saves and Nolan Meyer pops in the rebound for the GWG. Score...

East has trouble scoring more than 2 or 3 goals - hope that's enough to win this one. DE D looking real good these days though - Troy Olson had another game-winner tonight vs FLake. DE gets half their goals from the D.

Lee, another player mixup on the goal.

It was Senior D Troy Olson, Rand's whipping boy, that scored the GWG on a pp in the third period last night. It was so great to see him score the goal after all - then Rand sat him for the rest of the 3rd period. W T F !

Have to laugh at the irony here - Bjugstad is bigger than 95% of the players on the ice, and someone complains about him suffering from a cheap shot? You run the goalie, you're gonna get hit.

Maybe he should keep his head up.

As long as the discussions remain civil and non-inflammatory, why not? We may all learn something, who knows?

Moderators will referee in any case, and that's a good thing.

Go to Roseau. Depth will play a role in the outcome of this game, although another set of line changes for East may make a difference. One can never tell - that may be the understatement of the year. Ah thank you...

Then there are transfers that transfer just because they have issues with their current coach. I entirely agree with this scenario, especially if there is a history of family/player abuse.

I'd do it with my kid if I found myself in that situation.

Same players tend to get the same penalties for East - Minnetonka is a strong team - they've the horsepower to make even decent teams look mediocre.

Looking forward to 7AA play in next couple of weeks vs Grand Rapids, Elk River, Andover.

Northwoods Oldtimer, that's a pretty bold statement. East plays Seniors, juniors, and sophomores, and they all carry the load. There are some big, strong, fast skating juniors and seniors who can really make things happen. A team is a team, is a team, is a team. Go Hounds - you're in for some good h...

Thanks, Jerry, for stating the obvious. With the way transfers flew around Duluth this year, it seems there are more ways to get around the MSHSL reg's than ways to abide by them.

Just my opinion, though. Others may disagree.

There are no transfer rules in Minnesota - at least between private and public schools. Too many cases of kids playing immediately upon their transfer.
