Burnsville
According to the email I got. Bruce Anderson, longtime assistant and longime teacher in the district has been named the head coach. Interesting he took the job this late in his career but he's a great guy and coach.

Re: St. Olaf opens again
They had to open the search because they hired John as an interim head coach. Moe left last fall so they had to find someone in a short amount of time. I don't think that anything is a rip on Bazzachini or the job he did this past year. He took the job under these terms and now they have a full 6-7 ...

Class A...
I know it seems harsh and it might not be fair, but I don't see a class A player winning it. Obviously final 10, final 5 is a definite possibility (as we've seen) but not Ms Hockey.

Who's out there
Regarding these (and soon to be) open girls jobs...who's out there to fill these? Who's going to apply or who would we like to see apply? Are we just going to see the "shifting around" from job to job this year or are there serious, qualified, legitimate candidates that are not coaching or...

Re: Question
JJ,

I don't think it is. Just look at the boys' coaches in your conference (Missota), GHS' conference (Classic Sub), and mine (Lake). I think it would be fairly tough to come up with a recent year where more than 2 jobs turned over. On the boys' side especially in AA metro schools, most coac...

MGHCA All-State
I've had this since the Ms. Hockey Banquet (startribune.com)...I can't believe no one else got it out. As GHS said this is the best list. All of these girls deserve it 100%...the best of the best.

Presented by the Minnesota Girls' Hockey Coaches Association on Sunday at the RiverCentre, St. P...

Re: Game Atmosphere
Go ask any girl or even coach if they have enjoyed playing at the Xcel and they'll tell you yes. Everyone will remember playing there, walking by the Wild's locker room, etc. While the crowds have been just over 2000 everyone can now say they've played at the Xcel. EVERYONE has played at Ridder, I w...

Re: Stillwater vs E.P. Reviews
As an official shouldn't you know the rules? I've spent plenty of time refing youth games, granted I don't know all of the rules and there's no replay...but if the official goes to the bench to explain the result of the replay then the coach then asks about a hand-pass before the shot...wouldn't a q...

Good Place to Develop on a JV
So this one's a little different. My kid's an 8th grader and has gotten some time with the varisty this year but really has not been developed as a player by her JV coaches (great guys but not good hockey coaches). She talked to me today about going to another metro area school (south/sw/w/se metro)...

So does Armstrong go after Weisjahn like they wanted to a few years ago? Would he leave Orono? This one will be interesting.

Lakeville
Lakeville SOUTH filled their job with Randy's assistant...Weber. Seems most of their hires for the new school are internal.
