Marshall vs New Ulm
Great game between Marshall and New Ulm. It was back and forth the whole game....very fun to watch. New Ulm went up 2-0 in the first. After the second it was still 2-0 Marshall came back with two goals in the first five minutes of the third. Then they scored the final goal at about the ten minute ma...

Conversely...New Ulm vs Worthington
New Ulm scored 13 goal.
And....
-Had 137 !!!!! Shots on goal
- Played their first line the whole game.
-Had 50 shots the third period during running time.
The Worthington coach brought many of his girls to the section finals to cheer for Marshall.

FYI on Marshall vs Redwood Falls game
Yes, Marshall scored 17 goals.
But....
-that was on only 40 shots!
-The first line did not play after the first period
-The starting goalie (only goalie) skated the third period for the first time!

Congrats to Marshall High School Tigers
Marshall 5 New Ulm 3 Very good game. Marshall up 1-0 after the first. Marshall up 2-1 after two. Marshall was up 5-2 with 20 seconds remaining when New Ulm scored on a 6 on 4 after pulling their goalie and Marshall having a penalty. This marks the first Marshall hockey team (boys or girls) to make i...

Section 3A Update
Just a little update on Section 3A.
Marshall took New Ulm 4-1 last night.
Marshall dominated most of the game, even though they had to kill penalties 8 to 2. Should make for a very good sectional final game.

C'mon, everyone's missing the easy one. Section 3A; probably New Ulm? You are right that this is the easy one! I do not believe that any of the schools in the new 3 A have been to state. It more than likely will come down to New Ulm and Marshall. The past 6 meetings the record is New Ulm with 1 win...

Girls Section 1A
I have been a little lax in reviewing the new girls sections outside of my area...and I just looked at the new section 1A. This is going to be a tough section to get out of! Austin and Alber Lea will both be very tough, and I would give my nod to Austin...they are pretty physical, play good defense,...

Our school supplies nothing. Our girls (parents) even pay for ice time. All our school covers is coaches salary and transportation.

Not sure why. I have heard rumors but that would not be fair to them or the school to spread anything false. All three were, I believe, first two line players...two of them for sure. All three were underclassmen (juniors or younger).

As to the future, yes, it is very bright. Not only did the ...
