Turner played for a Duluth HS Team and the MN Thoroughbreds - possible her parents moved. But this thread lists her hometown as Duluth, Minn. She reported Iron River, Wis. as her hometown. She's not from the State of Hockey, so she doesn't count towards Minnesota's total number of DI recruits for 2...

Re: Question...
When did kid(s) from Iron River/Superior/Whatever, Wis. become a part of the 'Minnesota D1 Recruits' thread? I don't see any Wisconsin towns listed in this thread. Maybe you know something I don't know - which player(s) are you referring to? http://umdbulldogs.com/teams-womens-hockey.php?page=roste...

Hate to say it, but that's the usual. DHMN- You could not be more incorrect. I'm sure you think you have seen a parent or five lose control in your day, but you honestly haven't seen anything until you've witnessed Turner's dad in action. Go check out a Northern Stars game sometime. Trust me, it wo...

Ha yah I know its funny. But still I heard that this Turner is not very good, and yet she made it on the Elite II. How is that possible if that suppose to be good players? And still what is up with the cakeeater thing, what school is called cakeeaters? Plus is that really her true name? I think she...

I happen to live in Edina. What makes to diffrence? North Dekota. What Makes to diffrence? That's fu...

Shawna Davidson named Head Coach of the Duluth Northern Stars today. As a player, she starred at University of New Hampsire and also with Team USA . Also, formerly an assistant with the UMD Womens team where she won a National Title, as well as former Head Coach of the Duluth Central/Denfeld Devils...

Amber Fryklund resigned today. She accepted a teaching job at Marshall and rumor has it that she will assistant coach for PHM next year. ...so you're saying 'Jimber' has officially bowed out now? Since they've done everything (hockey related) together for the last three years, why did they each res...

Fact of the matter is the team that won, PHM played better in this game. Duluth came up short. Laura Bellamy, a senior captain I believe should have been in the game. PHM has never defeated Duluth with Bellamy in goal. Turner is a very good goalie and will have many moments in the next two years to...

I'm going to stop fighting the schedule strength with you. I'll let the KRACH do the talking. I don't think 35 is cupcake after looking at them all, but that's my opinion. PHM had a 27, to your standards would that be equivalent to a cupcake without the frosting? I'm assuming your a PHM fan so if y...

Ok your schedule bashing is getting silly and maybe a little out of hand. You're right, Bellamy has a great GAA and save %. Those are great numbers. Turner also has great numbers. They are both great goalies. Can I ask you and whoever else is questioning this situation, how many games have you watc...

Game Misconduct, 2 of the teams on your list (Warroad and Silver Bay) are from Class A. Not that they are not top teams, but Duluth is made up of 3 HS teams that should be able to put a better schedule together. 5 of those games (PHM, 2 GRG, 2 CEC) cannot be used to argue that Duluth had a tough sc...

Thanks NUT... I was done arguing with the uninformed. I couldn't have sais it better. Just to add to your post a little. Some of the teams Duluth played this year: Warroad Hopkins Hill-Murray GRG twice PHMSB twice Irondale Cloquet twice The REAL silver Bay Sounds plenty tough to me. What you say is...

Cupcake schedule? Really? If you look at their schedule Duluth has played some of the top teams in the state. I don't see their schedule being any easier than any of the other teams in the section other than Rapids. As for the roster, did you by chance see how many returning varsity players Duluth ...

I don't know what could've been unfair about it... Bellamy seemed to struggle at times all season long Bellamy played well against Proctor-Hermantown-Marshall-Silver Bay last time...And Turner has had some great games. Just Fryknapp's game plan. Question it all you want but they are agreat coaches....

It wasn't exactly a rotation. It was random and unfair. Just my opinion. I don't know what could've been unfair about it... I didn't see a ton of Duluth games (maybe 6 of them) and Bellamy has looked shaky in some and great in others .. Turner is a bit more fundamentally strong, and in the end will be a better goaltender , partly due to her experience playing boys Junior Varsity last year for Duluth East. But, she's onl...

DHMN. Shots were 28-19 PHM. Duluth had 5 PP to 1 for PHM. Did you see Duluths second and third goals? Rather soft wrist shots from the top of the circle into the corner of the net. Yes, the last 2 PHM goals were lucky. However, as evidenced by 2 game shot totals of 63-34, the better team won. Shots...

re:
You remember her giving up some soft ones, do you? It's hard to doubt that, I suppose some weak ones are bound to get by when you play in the Section 7AA tournament for five straight years. But either way my question never received an answer. I just want to make sure. Duluth really did lose with a D...

Re: Feb 14 updates?
Duluth was overmatched the entire game. It was never a question who the better team is/was, as the shots (and quality of) were heavily in favor of the Mirage from the get go. However, PHM really needs to get better goaltending fast if they want to make it to state and do any damage. Speaking of goal...
