Just because you don't play for a "proven" high school program, whatever that is defined as, doesn't mean you don't have potential to be a great college player. Woodbury plays in the SEC which is one of the toughest conferences in the state if not the toughest. They recently graduated one...

Let's be realistic, you can't pilfer and decimate the U14's and the U12's by forcing them to play HS hockey, just to get to the "numbers". The numbers don't add up. Please. So East Ridge has 32 9th through 12 graders next year and they want to combine? That doesn't include any of next yea...

Re: East Ridge

I don't have any official info., but, I don't believe this is possible by MSHSL rules. From what I understand one HS (in this case Eastridge) can't have players playing at more than one other HS (in this case Park & Woodbury). The only choice would be to co-op or form an affiliate agreement I b...

Re: East Ridge

Have they decided what they are doing the CG, Wby, Eastridge girls hockey. Any rumors on coaches? I haven't heard anything on coaches but they have it all figured out granted the district board passes it. Basically if you live in cottage grove and go to eastridge you will play for park. If you live...

The only thing that decides whether someone is an "A player" or a "AA player" is the school that the person attends. Public schools are not entitled to hockey players that grow up inside the bounds of their districts. According to MSHSL rules, you are correct! Common sense says ...

[/b] Ya sure  I go to a AA school. And Hanowski, DeLisle, Lapic, Mattson, and Palmquist aren't talented beause they play A? That's ridiculous. Go back to school  Read the bold sentence "Class A has just as much talent as AA" Fact is, "A" certainly has some star player...

Can we seriously not give Breck any respect because they are class A? Sure they could move up and not be as sucessful. Numbers show they don't have to. Breck was and is a very good team. If they weren't they wouldn't have found a way to stop Hanowski. If this topic was "Little Falls: State Cha...

You may think that for private high schools that you have to be smart to get into them. No you dont. Most of the private high school hockey teams are all on drugs and are poor in their academics. the only reason they have decent grades is becasue they take the easiest classes offered and they cheat...

Woodbury vs Park for any sport turns into a very physical game. Even if one team is significantly better it is always a good game. Lately because of the upset in 06-07 to go to state Woodbury vs. Cretin have always been a good game. Both have very good squads that tend to rely on finese rather than ...

Fill us in Joe, why the change of plans? As you can tell I am a woodbury student. From what i hear from girls who play with the park girls during summer hockey if the ER-Wood co-op went through they wouldn't play for them. It seems childish to me but i would probably react the same way if i were in...

Woodbury: Clare Shaw is only a freshman and probably the best player on that team. She lead them in points. Emily Moris is a very athletic sophomore with a great shot if she has the time to get it off. Alexa Jacobsen and April Weller are both good strong forwards. Courtney Stevens was a senior and l...
