Re: Coaching changes 2019/2020
Woodbury hires former Stillwater coach Tony Scheid...sort of a coup in my opinion. Strong youth program needs to keep girls at home and out of HM/Cretin. I don't understand this thinking. I consider each player that goes to Blake or Benilde a blessing because it means there is another EP girl playi...

Re: Competitive Section Assignments
The winner of the state tournament should be immediately moved to section 2, and the section 2 team with the longest drought is moved to some other section. Or maybe all 8 teams from the state tournament should be moved into section 2. I am not a fan of the new sections. The Edina/EP rivalry was fan...

I thought someone had told me that Eden Prairie's goalie played youth hockey for Osseo Maple Grove. This could very possibly be incorrect information, please let me know if it was wrong. There was an EP goalie (Padgett) from Maple Grove 3-4 years ago. She wasn't going to get any playing time at MG....

[Thank goodness they do not play the game in math class, with your statistical bias, it does not matter what happens on the ice head-to-head does it. One question I have for you that is simple, who won when Blake played Edina this year at Edina's home rink? And you actually received credit for this...

Good point. I'm in no way looking past Forrest Lake, but I'm really getting tired of EP and Hill Murray in the second round. Last year was a refreshing change, and such a wonderful outcome. The nice thing about playing Forrest lake is there are some butts in the seats. You could hear crickets durin...

I think there is a big difference between the #2 and #3 seed....you guys are over-looking the importance of last change... It's the little things that make a big difference Good point. I'm in no way looking past Forrest Lake, but I'm really getting tired of EP and Hill Murray in the second round. L...

H987, you are correct , zd suffers from u12beer-goggles Inigo..I don't think Holy Family/Waconia is playing class A..together they have 1400+ students , plus isn't this the off- year for class re-alignment I checked the Hub it looks like they are playing an A schedule. How do you get that?? Remove ...

I hear it is official now....Brooke White-Lancette will be the new Head Coach at Cretin! Great get for the Raiders!! Congrats to Cretin When EP was looking for a coach all the girls were praying it would be Brooke White. They were used to working with her at Velocity and all loved her. She'll be a ...

AAA, your obviously talking about Whinny Brodt LOL. I never heard that sales pitch. As far as I'm concerned Whinny delivers what she promises, X hours of ice time, Y number of games, Z number of tournaments. I think some people infer that summer hockey will make them better, but I have yet to hear ...

CM does not like the physical play generally that Wayzata brings. He avoids it and plays differently when playing a solid physical team than when he plays a team like Anoka. Didn't say he wasn't a good player because he is but the way to play him is be physical. He will have to figure this out befo...

He definitely wasn't invisible. However, if you can hold him to one power play goal, when he scored 10 or 11 points in the first two games, that is pretty good. Also, I believe the last time EP played Wayzata a month before, CM had one assist in that game in the Wayzata victory. So the conclusion i...

What state is she running her female training in? Ever heard of Google? Here's a link because you are just too lazy. http://totalfemalehockey.com/meet-kim/ I agree with several statements Kim makes. Girl's hockey in Minnesota is kind of an afterthought when compared to boys, and I think it gets a l...

I think knights14 is itsfoilcoach. Haven't heard from itsfoilciach after getting called out for ripping on Corkish for not taking a team to state and now knights14 shows up ripping on Pohl for not making a state tourney. Hmmm??Really??? You wonder why good coaches quit. Yep, they quit because of an...

Those wishing/hoping for Blake to move up shouldn't get too excited. That opportunity is only on the years sections are re-aligned. Since that just happened they will be class A next year, and they would have the option to move up again in 17-18 season. I have a hard time seeing how anyone at Blake...

And I should make it clear I am not slamming Jamie. It was great to see him tear up as he joined his players on the ice to celebrate. He genuinely cares about the girls and works hard to make them the best team they can be. Do I resent that this didn't happen a year earlier? Maybe just a little. Hey...

I would argue Dobchuk is the best. And she doesn't even get all state? Makes me believe that award is a joke. All I have to say. Her stats and trophy can prolly back up what I'm saying. Dobber was great in the state tournament, but I don't know about best in state. Watch her play often and you'd se...

Let's be fair. They required a five on three power play to win the State title. The first penalty was legitimate. The second was absurd. Let's be fair. EP won during a 5 on 3 power play, that it was required to win nobody can say and we'll never know. It is very strange to see Eden Prairie out shot...
