I can't take it anymore. I have to chime in. A couple of things need to be clarified from last nights game. First, I stood behind the Lakeville net all night. The scorer missed at least a half a dozen shots on net for Stillwater. The seemed like the only time the scorer counted a shot was when the g...

As yeahyeahyeah points out, Stillwater will be over your limit-LOL! I'm sure anyone reading this from Stillwater is really impressed with Flyer. Glad he thinks he's such a funny guy. Thank you "The puck stops here". I am just having fun. I think some of you need to relax. These are just s...

Sounds like maybe Stillwater should take a shot at the Fire. They should win as long as their goalie shows up right Flyer? I would put our kids up against any squirt team. 18-2-1 and outskated each of the teams in the games lost or tied (including Elk River). I'm just enjoying an already enjoyable ...

I wouldn't hang your hat to high on winning that tourney, that's not the toughest competition  True enough but that gives the ponies 2 tourney wins (Brooklyn Park and Rochester) and a 3rd in Edina. Probably should have won the Edina tourney as well. Great hardworking group of kids. Heard the ...

Can anyone verify who won the Spring Lake Park tourney yesterday? It was Sartell and Mahtomedi in the final. Don't know who won the Spring Lake Park tourney but the Ponies won the Rochester tourney in convincing fashion defeating Andover, Mound West Tonka, Rogers and Rochester in that order. I woul...

Re: Top Ten

My top Ten E.R. STMA E.P. Wayzata Edina Stillwater M.Grove Burnsville Rosemount Cenntenial Prior lake jefferson have to have consideration. Forgive me but ER getting too much love. How does Edina rate over the Ponies when defeated by the Ponies? EP is living off great goaltending but weak in other ...

Parody among 10 or so teams? Maybe Flyer79 can comment on the game. Stillwater has seen some pretty good teams, in fact some would say they have played some of the best already. Tonka played MV too. Just one of those nights. We were sluggish after a brutal 5 games in 4 days run. Played hard the las...

Got to see some games yesterday. I think ER and EP will prevail. ER is quick up and down the ice. EP is big and uses the body well for squirts. Very good games so far. Be ready "Keep Skating", Stillwater has speed as well. A couple of late goals by Edina made it closer that it was. It was...

I still haven't heard why it's 13 instead of 10 or 11?

Why not then have 10 or 11 on each team for "more touches"?

Is 13 the number because you need the two extra during the majority of the game so as to sufficiently rest the 10 or 11 for the end of a tight game?

Re: tonka program

Does everyone think it's the program and not the kids that creates success? In my opinion, the skill level of the kids determine whether your area is good or not. If you have 6 or 7 kids that are great at the bantam level and thus have a great team, more than likely they have brothers at squirts tha...

That is very benevolent, looking out for the kid that may get shorted while your stud is being sent to the blueline to catch a breather until his next rotation to center. Good one InigoMontoya. Okay offside 14 does "shortening the bench" apply towards goalies at squirt A as well? Do you play your top goalie from the semis up in tournaments? From my experience the kids and the parents are unhappy if there kid gets benched win or lose. Fortunately, my kid doesn't get shorted but fo...

What about shortening the bench?

Many Squirt coaches do that.

Should they?

Does anyone have the scores for each game of the EP Tourney?

I'm assuming tonka won because of the complaint?

Why does tonka only have 13 skaters?

Why does St. Michael have 14 skaters?

1. Never heard of choice league.

2. Edina has lost at least 2.

3. Duluth does field A Squirt teams but haven't been very strong over the last few years.

The bloom is off the rose for Stillwater with a 3-3 tie with Tartan.

The Ponies scored to tie it by pulling goalie with less than a minute.

Also had a shot from the slot with 20 seconds to go to win but hit the goalie in the shoulder.

Stillwater outshot Tartan 34-8 but ran into a hot goalie.
