Edina Hockey Association - Girls Program

Nevertoomuchhockey, it's good to see you are still stinging from last year! Nothing makes me laugh quite like your stories of whining and complaining. I've said it before and I'll say it again " GET BETTER and GET OVER IT!

Shortening Bench at 12A level

Get your facts straight! First of all, Edina did roll lines...as much as every other team did. It's funny how when you lose you claim the bench was shortened. A joke! If you followed that team all year you would know they rolled lines 98% of the season. Did certain players see more ice time late in ...

Peter, peter, peter, so much anger and so little to show for it. I'm NOT sure why you are so bitter, but if you spent a little more time "developing" hockey talent you might have more to show for it and less to be angry about. What do you mean when you say "congrats on developing 2 of...

Peterthepuck, what a great observation! You actually realized that Edina had a few outstanding players. You are a hockey genius! Your statement that if such and such player was removed that Edina doesn't advance is BS. Would the Bulls of won 6 titles without Jordan? Would the Kings have won the Cup ...

Development! Development! Development! Do you people who preach development really have any idea what you are talking about? Seriously? Development is about teaching kids the game from skating, stickhandling, puck protection, ice vision, individual battles, passing and teamwork, time and space, etc....

It kind of sounds like you're making an excuse off exhaustion. I wouldn't take anything away from either team. They both played four games and Edina's depth might of been the deciding factor. Remember, Edina played OT and shootout the night before. It looks like the best team won. I would 100% agree...

I think the way I would sum it up is as follows: The Edina girls program is as strong as ever! They won the 12's and 10's at the Cake Eater! The girls and families are committed to being good hockey players. They have obviously worked hard and therefore they deserve the accolades they are getting. M...

Uh-oh! I sense a little discontent among the Centennial folks. It's either that or somebody doesn't like Centennial and their coach. Of course, it could be jealousy too? Despite the conflict, Centennial will still be a team to watch out for this season. It's still early, but not sure if they have en...

I did some more research and what I have learned leads me to say Centannial, albeit the returning Champs, will NOT have the guns nor the goaltending to compete with the powerhouses this year. They will be good and deserve the title until they lose, but their road will be steep and slippery. Remember...

Centennial? They had their run last year...I don't think they have the fire power this year. Blaine should win D10 with very little trouble. Elk River? Maybe, again not enough fire power!

I think it is Centennials to lose! They were clearly the best team last year and they should be tough again. Elk River should also have another solid year, but they will have trouble in their district.

Most of the 2000 machines and 2000 blades should move to U12 this fall in association hockey. If I was one of their parents, I would want them to play at the level they will be playing at this season. WRONG AGAIN EDGE! Both of those teams actually have close to 50/50 rosters...I'm not on edge, just...

edge, I think you need a refresher course on what the difference is between playing 10U in the winter and playing 10U in the summer. If a girl is going to play 10U in the summer she has to be a 2000 birth year or younger (01, 02, etc...). It doesn't matter if she is moving up to 12's in the winter o...

best 10U AAA team in Minnesota

I think this answer here is rather obvious at this point in the year. The 2000 Machine and Blades are the two best teams without question. The Blades started the spring out strong, but after the International it looks like the 2000 Machine is #1. Without debating those two teams, I's say 2000 Veloci...

7 Teams in D6, but probably 3 or 4 of the top 6 in State. State Champ comes out of D6 again - the only question is will it be a team other than EP or Edina. It might be time for Chaska or Minnetonka to step up?
