I hope this reply by tarasov is a joke. If this is the attitude of a parent or a coach this is disgusting. No wonder everyone rips your team and your sportsmanship. It was totally classless as everyone has pointed out. I was told the refs were talking to the Edina Bench during the championship game ...

The issue at hand is when you have a wide spread of abilities. Girls will still develop on a B team. But usually on a B team you have 5 girls that will play throughout the summer and the rest do not or wish to take hockey as serious. Nothing wrong with that as hockey is not their focus and should no...

Based on that succes it sure sounds like they should have had two A teams, but I guess winning a U12A state championship is more important, like it was for us. Seems like that at most associations, winning before developing is the priority. I bet if the HS coach was involved they would want two A te...

Bravo to all the STA and private school comments. It is puzzling why STA would choose to play down when they clearly play a AA year long schedule. I guess filling that trophy cabinet is very important to them. Who even remembers who won class A. I had no idea Breck had won it two years in a row. Goo...

I have to laugh as it seems personel now. It is pretty clear everything is political and has an agenda for these coaches. Welcome to the world of youth hockey.

Is anyone really surprised here regarding Edina and their coach's behavior? Edina is full of ex NHL'ers who walk around with bad hair. Oops where is that mirror again?

Forfeit Are you kidding me

Did this really happen at an elite Bantam A tournament? If true, WOW!!!! the Edina coaches should be ashamed of themselves and the black eye they put on their association. Actions like this supports the reason why everyone continues to dislike Edina and everything they stand for. "Every Day I n...

Upsets

I did see the over-rated Edina U12A girls lost to Blaine, and dropped another game on Sunday. 1 win & 2 losses for the weekend.

Not sure if Wayazata won the whole tournament? But they looked like the best team over the weekend.

Winning

I guess I am completely off base, it is all about winning. As long as you win everything is great. I thought you learn more from losing than winning? But I guess I am not a "nut job" obessed with winning. I am sure my daughter will grow up to be "nothing" because she was not a wi...

C'mon Iggy are you missing the big picture? Isn't it a little early to be worrying about the next U10 "SUPER" team that after 2 years is completely different at U12 because of how much girls can change. Let them have fun and enjoy the game. The goal of every Coach at this level should be t...

my gosh leave this alone, how many people have not seen a similiar situation at their try-outs? There are always issues for the last three spots on every team and usually 5-6 players who could fill these spots. What has happened is unfortunate, but it is clear to everyone on this team as well within...

Cake Eater Tournament

I don't think you can even talk about the U10 level for this tournament. At this level, the girls are more interested in how their hair looks, swimming, and the concession stand than playing the actual game IMO.
Girls just want to have fun, let them
