Re: Section 4AA
Egads, this nonsense again? A evening Gophs game, whether playoff of regular season, in the evening does not prohibit high school games at 10 and noon. It does not take long to clear the building on consolation crowds. If the gophers have an evening game, both the gophers and their opponents will h...

Re: System Outage
No surprise here. System crashes when WBL beats HM to go to state. Nice start for the new coaching staff. No surprise once the old regime finally removed itself. Just a question, first off congrats to WBL on the big win and good luck this week! However, I have seen this comment in a few different s...

Re: Playoff Games Wednesday 2/28/24
Well in the latter case the refs consulted the goal judge, who for some reason told them it went in despite never turning on the red light. The Gentry coach didn't protest at the next whistle, and I was soooooo glad when they dropped the puck again. It more like a dull.thunk.than a clank. I, As wel...

Re: Section 4AA
Well they wanted HM v WBL and now they got it. The public should be pleased. I was really surprised Stillwater rolled over the way they did tonight. Didn't see a lot of fight. Always hard to get down early. I didn’t see any rollover, Stillwater had plenty of quality shots, the Bears goalie played e...

Re: Playoff Games Wednesday 2/28/24
It was an odd game. Odd officiating calls. Weird things happened. I swear Gentry scored breaking into the zone when ot was still 2-0, and it seemed like no one on the Gentry sode even noticed, no hollering, I don't know how it couldn't have gone in. But I need to pull that up on the stream to revie...

Re: Section Tournament Ticketing Systems
Most schools are using digital ticketing now, at least in the metro area, you may need to contact the school or the venue for information. I know they will not be selling tickets at the door at Aldrich Arena for section 4A and section 4 AA.

Re: Section 4AA
As for the 1,2,3 seeds, I think it’s based on the head to head between White Bear, Hill, Stillwater.
Hill one win one tie.
White bear, one win, one loss, one tie.
Stillwater, one win two losses.
Hill one win one tie.

Re: Section 4AA
Did the coaches get this section's top 4 seeding right? 1. HM 2. WBL 3. Stillwater 4. Gentry Don't think anyone can doubt Hill being the #1. Seeds 2-4: #2 WBL 17-7-1 SOS: 27 #3 Stillwater 14-9-2 SOS: 17 #4 Gentry 19-6-0 SOS: 44 Only 1 common opponent between all 3: Park of Cottage Grove: -Gentry wo...

Re: The Minnetonka Machine, and where they came from
How is Minnetonka differ from any private school ? MSHSL has no teeth. Hope there’s a lot of upsets in sections, tired of the same teams year in and year out. Go Grand Rapids, Centennial, Roseau, Rosemount, Park, and anyone but Hill Murray. Gentry is the team people should be pissed about, publicly...

Re: Section 4AA
I would be shocked to see gentry, seeded higher than 4, The other coaches, don’t like them, and won’t vote for them. That would more than likely mean a Hill/gentry semifinal game.

Re: Section 4AA
The more money the more nuts parents are. Gentry founded by rich North Oaks family with dreams of little Chaz in the NHL. I have no problem with it, it’s their money. Did Jr make it to the NHL? Or is he still coming through? He's still on his way up. He's had a ton of injuries, and lost significant...

Re: AA Rankings for 2/4/24
I think you may have Centennial rated a little high. White bear gave them a heckuva run yesterday, and pretty much dominated them on the ice, shots were two to one in favor of white bear, and if not for some questionable refereeing, the outcome probably would’ve been a different.

Re: Section 4AA
Gentry is no longer a private school that charges tuition, it is now a charter school paid for by the taxpayers of Minnesota. People from Out of state are not sending their kids here for any other reason then to play hockey. Minnesota taxpayers should not be paying for out of state kids to go to a M...

Re: Section 4AA
I actually think the vast majority of their players are from Minnesota. In fact it may be all MN players with the exception of 2 or 3. Gentry is not, and never will be, a national draw. Nor will they be a regional midwest draw. They're not even, and probably never will be, a metro-wide draw. From t...

Re: Section 4AA
Can someone explain to me how Gentry, a publicly, funded charter school, can accept out of state players, and still play in the MSHSL Why are Minnesota taxpayers paying for out-of-state kids to attend a public school, just to play hockey.
