Re: Draft order
Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but, the reason no Russsians were taken in the first twenty-some picks were, 1) With the new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) in the N.H.L. the money is not there, as it was prior to 2005. 2) The professional hockey league in Russia is thriving, promoted and...
Goligoski a Gopher
Yes, he will be starting school this coming fall. As a matter of fact, he's down at the "U" right now, lifting and skating with his new team. He went down the morning after Ballard signed.

First line center
I agree with Hamboni, Patrick White should be centering Lumbo and Stunyo. The kid is a real playmaker, very unselfish. Playing varsity as a freshman this year will help him next year. Tavis either doesn't see the ice very well, or is just unwilling to pass the puck. Jerod Smith is going to be a grea...

Does size matter?
Drew Walters is good enough to play D-1, despite his height. Tyler Hirsch (5-9), B.J. Radovich (5-9) and Nick Licari (5- are some examples of player...

All I.R.C.
Did Ely or Chisholm have any players that should've made the team? Ely isn't in the I.R.C. anyway. The I.R.C. coaches pick this team, and who would you rather have picking this team?

B.J. recently committed, within the last 48 hours to Air Force. He then declined his invitation to the "Showcase", being replaced by Ryan Cramer (Int. Falls.).

Conference selections
All the post-season All-Star teams have different selection committees. The Iron Range All conference team is selected by the Iron Range coaches. The Duluth News Tribune All Area team is done by Duluth sportswriters, and the C.C.M. team is selected by the Kernz and Co. group, whatever that is. The P...

C.C.M. picks-
As for players chosen for this All-star game, Stunyo and Columbus from Rapids should have played. The Hedleys may be good kids, but oh my god are they slow. At least Stunyo and Lumbo would have kept up with the pace of this game. Derek Fisher and Bahr were two more questionable choices for this team...

Mr. Hockey
Congratulations to all Mn. H.S. hockey teams, another great year. It's now that time when all the individual awards come out. This one I believe is announced today. All the finalists are deserving. Good luck to all.

Give it a rest!
You Virginia people crack me up, so quick to blame the coach. Maybe the players could take some respondsibility. You can go on and on about your gaudy record, and about how much better you are than Hibbing, but you know what, you lost, it's over, let it go. It doesn't matter how you play at the star...

Spuds-Elks
Listening to Lou Nanne makes me want to puke, Sarsland is no better. The isolationists truely believe that there is no hockey outside the metro, what arrogance. Did anyone see the intros, the Elks look like something between Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols and the Manson family.

Mr Hockey rigged?
To grman45- Do you honestly think Mark Henry and J.J. are Mr. Hockey candidates? Third and fourth lines are where they belong. As far as Stejskal for the award in 2007, he has a long way to go. He 's not bad defensively, but until his footspeed gets much better he'll never become much of an offensiv...

Mr. Hockey
Alex Goligoski will win, and SHOULD win Mr. Hockey 2004! He singlehandedly carried Grand Rapids as far as he could, on his back. To get to the section final, to go to state, was absolutely amazing. Alex is the epitome of a team leader, makes everyone on the ice with him better, and leads by example....

Correction
%%WORD0%i- I stand corrected, I see on the geocities site that SPA did manage to defeat Washburn 2-1. The 4 points listed for the Wood kid were his totals for 18 games. Good luck to him, and maybe someday you can be making posts about him as a Mr. Hockey finalist, it's a little early yet.

...

Where are we going here?
This topic is Mr. Hockey, who will get it? I believe this refers to this year, especially when there are already topics regarding Mr. Hockey 2006 and one about an all-state fresh./soph. team. Get on the right thread! Also, dangler06, are you really serious about this John Wood? I notice SPA finished...

Read the topic!
DMarshallsucks, (nice moniker, by the way?), there are two northern boys, of the ten finalists, if you would have read the first post. Go Greyhounds, Phil Johnson isn't a finalist, so, obviously he can't win. And who in the hell is John Wood anyway!

i couldn't agree with you more m4hockey. Let's support and attempt to improve what we have here in minnesota. Society is pressuring kids to grow up too fast. Let the kids enjoy their friends, family and the whole high school experience. Don't take that away from them.
