Re: Jared Hummel Signs
Eddie--
Thanks. The NCAA is definately a piece of work thats for sure. The school and coaches can get out of a scholorship after a year but the student-athlete can get punished or have to sit out a year for opting out. Personally, I'd love to see a free one time transfer for every athlete. Kids m...

Re: Jared Hummel Signs
The NLI must be signed by every scholoarship athlete, not just 95%. Also, there exists a financial aid form that must be signed to renew the scholorship every year. Though many athletes believe that there scholoarships are for four or five years they are not. They must be signed and renewed every ye...

Re: lf young guns
I skated with Fairchild on an outdoor rink over the holidays and two minutes into the game I asked who the kids was. He is a big time talent and will look great in an East jersey. I thought he had to already be playing for East when I asked who he was. He has great hands and is a very good skater. D...

Re: Hearing
Must have been an interesting night in Duluth. Glad to see some rights have occured throughout this whole process. I feel terrible for the Wentworth staff and I believe many people do. I would urge both sides to rally together around the East program right now. The entire situation has been unfortun...

Future
What to do now is the big question? Personally, I would like to see the grievance process be what puts Randolph back in as coach so that some of the politics are left out of it. But then what? I would love to see Randolph keep as much of last years staff on board with him if thats possible. I imagin...

Re: Is there two sides to this issue?
Brooke, Jr----
You are correct that not having contracts renewed does happen everyday. However, one thing to keep in mind is that high school coaching is basically a volunteer job. No high school coach is getting rich or making their livelyhood from coaching. So, why be so harsh about the real wo...

Re: Grievance?
Thanks for the great updates. As I felt from the beginning, it seemed a wrong was done. Glad to hear things are looking up for the Randolph camp (not that any of us are anti-Wentworth in any way). If everything goes according to what Star Trib had to say that would be great news taht due process cam...

Grievance?
Lee--What about your take on the grievance process? It would seem to me he has a great shot at winning this. Anytime a teacher applies for a position they should get it before someone from outside the district. If nothing wrong was found than his application should have been valid and given the job ...

Lee--
Thanks. Its funny because in my reply to him I said I'm sure you just got yourself banned for attacking me. Character thats for sure. LSandA and the Bandwagon
LSandA--
Inform us a little on why you are a memberof the anti-Randolph campaign. You seem bitter (calling a man a baby) and I'm wondering where it's coming form? Also, I have yet to see any writer on this topic write about a players talent, like you are claiming? Rudy, offered points that have s...

Reasons
I don't know all the behind the scenes things and I'm sure none of us really do, but I'm pretty sure that the books being opened and things were in regards to the DEHAA aspect of it. For those of you that don't know that is the Alumni Association that does quite a bit of fundraising for the program....

Re: Randolph Appeal and Article
LWo---Thanks I appreciate your help. I understand he wasn't fired but in all essence he really was from his coaching position. Well, I'm sure that some of you have been expecting some more comments from me so here goes.

Crazy how a group of athletes who just finished a great year where they played don't want to rock the boat. Of course this years team will support Randolph especially because many of them probably did...

Randolph
Things are always interesting up North. The whole situation is messed up but hopefully the school board or the grievance will give Randolph his job back. East vs. Marshall
If Marshall wants to play East so bad then move up to Double AA and they will probably play twice. Thats really all it would take. They are a private school and East does not have much to gain by playing them. If they lose they have the potential of losing more players and teh emberassment. So, if p...

Gotcha
What happened to Coach Randolph does rile me up.

I do understand your point however being cut can be a great thing and such a learning experience. More
One of the bigger issues is that if a teacher applies for a coaching position he/she is supposed to (I believe guaranteed) the position if they are the only internal candidate. In other words if you are a teacher within the school district and you are the only one that applies for the job you should...

Eddie--Come on
Eddie--You can't just lay that little tip out there and not tell us if he has applied for the other positions? He did start out as a Hunter and brought them to a state tourney? It would be interesting to him coaching against East. Also, makes you wonder if any players would jump ship and head wheree...

Randolph
Both coaches are great but what happened to Randolph is wrong. Anyone who gives fifteen years of his life to one program, and gets canned for no reason would be upset and would want their job back. He deserved to coach until he decided he didn't want to coach anymore. He is a great coach and a great...

Sounds like he is really considering a few of these offers. Coaching runs deep with him and if he takes a job whoever gets him is very lucky. I'll be a fan of where ever he goes though it will not seem right seeing him behind any bench other than the Hounds. Interesting thats for sure.

<i...
