Re: State Single A Games 3-30-21 - Tuesday
I think "Potential" is the key word with EGF. They have the talent to compete with the # 1 and #2 seeds. The question I have is can they play to that potential? (which I think they struggled with at times the past two seasons). Their 4-8 record against "quality opponents" this s...

Some perspective on EGF with 8 loses: 2 to Section 8 AA Champ Moorhead 1 to Section 8AA #1 Seed Roseau 1 to Section 8A #1 Seed Moorhead 4 to very very good AA quality ND schools GF Central (2) & GF Red River (2) firat few games of the season. Those teams were 2 months into their season. This tea...

Re: Green Wave
I think alot of people in MN fail.to realize how good the Grand Forks teams are. They, in most years, would easily be in Top 10 MN AA and many years top 3-5. Add, EGF played these 2 teams their fist games of the year (without 2 top seniors in their lineup). ND teams are literally in mid-season form ...

WOM, IN DETAIL, for every single article you refer to, there are articles from medical experts that counter every detail! Your not worth my time. In fact, I quit reading all your "government knows whats best for you" rants months ago. You, single handedly, are the reason I rarely visit thi...

While any death is tragic, the fact is 80% of deaths are occurring in those that are older than the average life expectancy in MN. This is an average!!!! For those that don't understand averages, to get an average life expectancy of 77 in MN,for evey person that dies at the age of 89, someone at the...

Re: MSHSL Oct 1st Meeting (Boys Hockey Season Fate)
Its too bad that some of these school districts are overreacting based on cases. Cases do not equal crisis, the most common test (PCR) is very flawed in that it shows if an individual has ever had the virus in their system, and not if they currently have the virus, which is highly inflating case nu...

Today's ruling is bad news in regards to why I made this thread. Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming and Cross COuntry only doing a "Two Week' Sectional to conclude season.... The State Tournament at the X the crown jewel of our sport looking even LESS likely today.... Hockey will be 18 gam...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?
I thought this article was highly appropriate to put in this thread: https://www.foxnews.com/health/severe-coronavirus-disease-death-rare-kids-uk-study A large team of experts found that confirmed virus cases among babies and youth under 19 only accounted for less than 1 percent of all patients in a...

Minnesota kids have been playing hockey in other states since June. Numerous youth and high school tournaments have continued through July in Minnesota. Both the USHL & NAHL have held camps with similar results as was mentioned before with players from around the entire US. All without major ou...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?
We now have almost 2 months of post shutdown experience at hockey rinks all over the state. As well as many Minn kids that played at rinks in Hudson, Fargo, and Sioux Falls in May and June. There must have been hundreds and hundreds of hockey games by now in addition to practices and scrimmages. Ju...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?
Losing control of High School hockey by the MSHSL and local high schools is a real possibility if this all happens. This could be the first domino to fall in losing high school hockey as we know it in MN. MN could very well be on it's way to the midget model like many other states already have. Hig...

Galatz to Hermentown? Are you kidding me? Mommy and daddy trying to chase something or run from something? Isn't this the same kid that moved to Cloquet from a range town a few years ago? Complete joke on behalf of both Hermantown & that family! Both should be extremely embarrassed if true!!

Re: MSHSL moves football to spring
Isn't this forum regarding school age kids? 45 kids have died WITH, not from CV-19. During this past winter, 105 children in the US died from the flu (CDC data). If we are are truly having a discussion about kids, the impact of this virus is nearly 100% benign. Yes, there are HS kids that may be pre...

Re: MSHSL moves football to spring
If you want to have a season, don't argue like the guy above me. "It's just the flu!" is not going to convince the MSHSL of anything. Recognize the potential danger, be willing to accept whatever restrictions the MSHSL recommends, and suck it up. Announcing in advance that you're going to...

Re: MSHSL moves football to spring
This is so ridiculous people, look at the facts!! This "pandemic" is on par with the regular seasonal flu, and in kids is totally benign for the majority of all cases! The rate of death and hospitalizations in the US among kids is LESS than it is for a bad flu season. Last data I saw, 45 k...
