Re: Crack in the Edinasty

I've heard a name and a private school receiving this top talent, but want to hear from others before dishing out specific info that might be wrong.

Edited by: Cap19tain at: 5/12/06 3:46 pm

Crack in the Edinasty

Is it a rumor or fact? One of the top 3 forwards from Edina's Bantam A team this past season is going private. Who knows the real deal?

that's cool. attracting more talent in one association pushes the others and spreads the benefit to their opponents.

Small in stature, big in heart and talent

Watch of Bennie Walker of Edina and Eric Freschi of Jefferson. Much has been written about them on this chat board. Don't doubt them because of their size. They are the Mugsy Bogues and Spud Webb of hockey -- only they have more talent for their peer group than those two did for theirs.

curious, does shattuck being in faribault lead to siblings joining the local association and then improving the play down there?

Re: Peewee A 2006-2007

Edina returns two skaters, but one is on a long-term mend, so his status is uncertain. Squirt A's were probably the best team in the state this past season (29-1-3), won Fargo and three other tournaments. the B1's had their moments, but probably had what Edina would consider underperforming seasons....

And what of Edina? Only two first-years coming back and the loss of Walker & Sit to bantams.

Re: Best PWA next year

Edina's Squirt A THIS year was certainly better than anyone they played. Now, last year (04-05), the Hornets were down a bit.
