Re: Bantams still a good predictor of HS success
Apologies for the dumb question here but can someone explain why the talent time and time again chooses to go to Hill/CDH and not Woodbury/Eastridge? Woodbury public schools aren't bad by any means and I've always heard good things about Coach Vogel so what's the deal? Obviously hard to deny the tra...

Re: Bantams to High School
A thread for discussing feeder teams and how they will affect the high school scene. I’m intrigued by the top 10 BAA SLP/Coon Rapids team. Will most of those players end up playing for the high school co-op? Would be awesome to see them continue their success. The only place I can see a kid going t...

Re: 6AA Final - #2 Edina vs #4 Wayzata
Nothing against them but those two were likely not going to make or get barely any playing time in Edina when they bounced.Brodziak Fan Club wrote: ↑Thu Feb 26, 2026 5:24 pm Also EP has gotten a couple Edina castoffs![]()
I really just think there is movement everywhere at this point.

Re: 6AA Final - #2 Edina vs #4 Wayzata
Seemed like McConnell was going for a hard dump in, with the intent for the puck to angle back out in front and he'd try to beat the defenseman to it. Angled to the back of the goal instead, where it then took its interesting route. Wayzata had more shots in the 3rd, but really didn't have many goo...

Re: Skills Coaches
Am sure this varies by area just just based off of ear and experience: A) Alex Volpicelli (impossible to schedule), Kathy Gazich, Grace Nass, Carey Tinkelenberg, Katrina Stewart B) Casey Rooney (ReadReact), Josh Levine (Fortis), Josh Kern, Eric Wenkus (PEP). A lot of coaches run private sessions but...

Re: 7A Final - #1 Hibbing vs. #3 CEC
Do we want to bring up the elephant in the room. Was that goaltender interference or not? 8) That's gotta be GI 7 out of 10 times. From what I saw the defender pushed or guided the Hibbing player toward the crease, goalie contact was made, but there was no effort from the Hibbing player to evacuate...

Would be something to watch if Proctor continues to up their game and we get to see Proctor, CEC, Hibbing and Hermantown slug it out over the next 2 years.

Re: 6AA Final - #2 Edina vs #4 Wayzata
Rolling with the Trojans here. They've picked up their game quite a bit towards end of the season. Have the big win over Edina to close out the regular season and then take down Rogers. Haven't been too impressed with Edina's game as of late having watched them in person a couple times. If Bode McC...

Re: 3AA Final - #1 Rosemount vs. #2 St. Thomas Academy
real classy move by Rosemount goalie after the game ended Go on... There's video of him giving the double birds to the STA student section. I'd say in the 80 and early 90's, the HM-WBL rivalry went like that. Then by the late 90's early 2000's, guys hugged each other and wished them good luck at st...

He went hard into the net towards the end of the PL game. He came back in that game clearly still in pain but did not suit up against Tonka. Ribs I heard.

Re: 2AA Semifinal #1
EP put up a good fight, especially in the first period. Feels like once Erickson let in the floater from the blue line, it changed the momentum of the game and Tonka took control. Not sure what happened there, if he just lost sight or what. Seemed to me he thought the puck was well over the net. Wa...

Re: 6AA Semifinal #2
The Trojans (and you could argue Edina) play the type of game that is always dangerous this time of year. Fast, heavy and great in the defensive end. O’Leary always has his team ready to play in these situations. Any thoughts on the Shakopee loss? No disrespect to Chan but that’s gotta be tough for ...

Re: Parent Coaches at High School?
Is it ever a good idea? It used to be not that uncommon. Saterdalen, Osiecki, Ikola, Gernander, and Randolph all coached their sons at some point. I'm sure there are other examples. I think all were established before their sons came through, so that would be a scenario which would be less problema...

Re: AA Rankings for 2/1/26
Enjoy the rankings every week. I think Maple Grove deserved to drop after the last week, but 5 spots is a bit much. I don’t see how they can be behind Wayzata, who they’ve beaten twice and have a better record than playing the same tough schedule. Also, Wayzata has zero signature wins. Maple Grove ...

Re: AA Rankings for 1/25/26
Looks like EP has Maple Grove's number this year. Are the Crimson that bad? What's going on with them? EP pretty much dominated from midway through the 2nd on and if not for a garbage goal with 10 seconds left it would've ended 5-2 EP. MG parents were grumbling about a coaching change if you can bel...

Re: Tonka HS coach
If you’re familiar with EPCC, the visiting teams locker room is in the hallway between rinks 1 and 3. He was outside the locker room screaming in an F bombed rage. Couldn’t tell if it was directed at staff or a player but it seemed to be directed toward the JV group. I don’t expect the guy to be a s...

Tonka HS coach
Aside from all of the recruiting talk, what is this guys reputation like out there? I held a higher regard for him considering his background but after seeing him after the Tonka vs EP game last night the guy seems like a total prick. I couldn't really see what was going on but he was going absolute...
