Regardless who wins this award I always doubt the process. In 2005 Alex kangas wasn't even considered although he had three years of varsity play and began and won three additional games as a freshman--two by shutouts. His high school record includes 18 additional shutouts as the top goalie in the B...

Goalies are hockey players too and like Fairchild , may not be as recognizable as those already mentioned. My pick is Alex Kangas. He wasn't given any credit by the Strib or PP because he was from the south, but as we shall see, the cream always rises to the top.

I just checked and found someone I had forgotten for Eveleth's total. Rudy Ahlin would bring the number for Eveleth to 13.

What do you think is wrong? Do they have better players sitting on the bech or on the JV? Were better players cut or didn"t even go out for the team.? The coaches work with what they have. Maybe this is a slump time in their material.
