Morin Interview?
Anywhere I can watch this online? Breck has always had the "rich and privileged means we don't have to be classy and polite" motto. They have a great thing going right now: Essentially if you attend Breck for 4 years in High school and play a fall, winter, and spring sport, you will win a ...

Benilde-Hermanton
Hell of a hockey game in 99'. Benilde had the Riddle Brothers, Andrew Alberts, The Schuman's, Irwin, Valko, and a host of other players. One of the best teams I've seen in fact. Hermantown also had a stud who played at Michigan Tech who's name is escaping me. Anyway, fantastic game. Another one that...

Heck
Why not move the girls tourney to the Metrodome? If they want empty seats, we can give them a hell of a lot of empty seats. I have attended the girls tourney at Ridder and genuinely felt excited watching the game. However, watching a girls regular season game at the local arena with 50 parents being...

I thought
This group of Orono kids was supposed to be amazing after the success they had in youth hockey. what happened?

I mean
Ridder was the first hockey rink built strictly for a girls team. It is ridiculous that the cause of this was a few parents felt that there daughters were being robbed of an experience at the Xcel.

Man amongst boys?
He may have the skill, but I don't see that many 5'9" defensemen doing wonderful things in the NHL or college hockey for that matter.
Yes he is a wonderful high school player, probably the best in the state, but I'm not going to crown him just yet.

true
Orono will get their golf clubs ready and will probably employ the mound players as caddy's at many of the local country clubs.

umm
I would hardly put Mound in the same class as Orono. 5 State tourney appearances in the last 6 seasons compared to 0 all the while being in the same section. 7 appearances overall compared to 2. The game has always been highlighted by Mound players feeling an overjoy by beating Orono. The fact is th...

not to take anything away from him
Yes Festler is a very good hockey player. But when he score 4 goals in a 9-1 contest, the 4th one being with 11 seconds left in the game, and none of his goals determining the outcome, it takes a little bit of luster off his accomplishment. Yes he has scored many many goals and is a great player and...

Stiches
Stiches if I remember correctly haven't you let in goals on the first shot, each time the shots being "weak sauce"? Being the 3rd string goalie hardly allows for you to rip on the Starting goalie for HF.

Re: always competitive
I would not say this game is always competitive, Orono has smoked mound by 6 and 7 recently. To bad these teams can't keep there players in their respective schools, Mound should have Matson, Orono should have Estoclet and quite a few other players. Acutally if you would have read the first part of...

mmmmmmmmm
Mr. Ryan has won far more games and had his team in far more games than they should have been in the past two seasons. He know's the players he has, so he plays a super defensive minded system. They stack 5 players in front of the net, who on their own probably block 10+ shots a game. I do not belie...
