Dang Warroad must read these articles and set up a 14U game against C-Towns JV which will wear on C-towns Freshmen and team since they only have 4 real JV players. It will be tough but I still will go with Crox 4-3 Crookston doesn't have a JV team do they?? Don't they have a 14U team that plays som...

not to be rude or anything but i dont think anyone has any right to criticise people about what they know or dont know or even what classes a certain school lacks in isnt this site about hockey It's all in fun. Some of my best friends teach in EGF. But I apologize for anyone who takes offense to an...

To Be Honest, I do not understand how EGF gets all this hype about beating these top ranked teams like Crookston, Roseau, Warroad... They do bring it when it comes to Game time, but last time I checked they are still losing and Roseau has wooped them there and Home along with Warroad, although Warr...

That's what I like. A commentary that does not include all the facts. Like Warroad also had a player out. Like Roseau never had a lead. Like officiating that gave Roseau 18 minutes of Power Play. Maybe that's why Warroad looked tired. Like the previous post was from a Ram Fan I really don't care ab...

There boys are moving down to A. I haven't seen anything about there girls except that in the new section allignments they are in 8AA. It would be dumb for them to move down. 8A is probably stronger than AA. The path to state would be more difficult for them. Although it would turn 8A into the premi...

Re: 2007-8 Hardest A Section
Votes or not, I have to say it's section 8. You have Crookston, Warroad and Roseau. All three teams were ranked in the top 10 all season. All 3 teams will be BETTER next year, due to minimual graduation losses and excellent young players coming up from 14U. All 3 of these teams could compete at sta...

I think many would agree that the natural progression was from Ridder to Mariucci, to the X based on fans in the stands. The last place in Minnesota that the girls tournament should be played at is Mariucci. Olympic sized rink, which very few teams ever practice on. A cavernous arena for the noice ...

ya i agree northernewguy. I didn't expect this to erupt from me saying that alexandria deserves quite a few players on this list. But hey, it did. Dumpandchase, I dont mind stats, I am in favor of them. But i dont have any affiliations with the Alex coaches so how am I supposed to get stats. - the ...

Let me respond. If you care about getting kids opportunities you sell them. The best way to do that is through stats. And boy is it tough to put them on the High School League Website. I backed my assumptions up with facts. You saying that if you got into the winners bracket it would have changed ev...

sioux rules, which by the way, they dont, because the scsu huskies do. But anyways, im pretty sure im right on this, they still are ranked number 2, so your statement is wrong. And to our 0-2 record at state this year, I would like to see Crookston come out of the section of the draw that alex is a...

Seed the sections/tourneys based on end-of-regular-season ranking so that the top 64 go to AA and the remaining teams go A... So now Crookston with there 320 enrollment and Roseau with there 370 enrollment, we'll leave Warroad out of this argument have to go play with the big schools because they h...

I'd also like to see the coaches vote replaced with KRACH seeding for Sections. And, also feel the same about seeding STATE using KRACH as to avoid championship games played in the QF. Of course, I'd really like to see a tiered tourney too though instead of classes, and we know how hated that idea ...

This seems like another case where metro people think that the state doesn't go farther north than St. Cloud or farther south than Owatonna. It's a STATE TOURNAMENT for the ENTIRE state of Minnesota. Not just for the Metro schools. If you aren't good enough to get out of your section you don't deser...

The finals for section 3A last year were held in Thief River Falls. I haven't heard of any decisions that have been made for the future. I believe Roseau was chosen because it is the most Centrally located between International Falls and Crookston-the two extremes of the current section 8A. I would ...

Another nice win for Crookston. www.kroxam.com has shots at 31-20 in favor of Crookston.
Looks like Crookston is starting to get some goaltending on top of scoring a lot of goals.
