Sweet! My hip boots still fit! Getting deep.
Hey folks. I had to call one of my old cronies in St.Cloud to get the rundown. Apollo has had some nice players the passt few years, yes. But did those guys stay around to make the program great? Only the two top dogs that I can think of the stayed the whole career, were Harrington and Schwartz. Sau...

I've been reading this thread the last couple of days. You said something about a new style of coaching at Apollo. Does that mean that the other guy was doing something wrong if the result was only 1 or 2 games better, as far as the record shows? Maybe you also forget what section the team was in be...

Yah !
To bad it was back in the days of the original tourney field. I mean, it was before any of the teams that have hockey now, had hockey then. Something like 1945. Happen to look at the score of the games they played in when they were there? They got WHALED on. Goes to show you my age for remembering t...

Think they'll keep the same staff? Team name, as far as, Jets? Should be interesting to see what happens. Been hearing all sorts of things going around about the face of the NAHL. Lets keep up with the gossip.

Those are old rankings folks!
Those are the Jan. Rankings fellas. There's no way Gardiner is higher than Ness now. They've changed quite a bit. Jokinen isn't that high either. I've heard he's dropped a ton. He started out high, based onlast years finish and who he played on a line with but I'm sure he'll fall further. Most the S...

As far as the level of play I know. Well you will have your own opinion, I'm sure. But I have a big a$$ ring that says otherwise. Yes its been a long time ago. Probably when you were still pushing pucks on a pond, in squirts, but like I said, I've been around. Even for an old gray man. Thanks for th...

They are good!
You'd be suprised what I know, DENT! I've been around a while and have spoken to a lot of the MIAC....... whoa! Did you say NCHA too? Now I know you don't know that much now either. For the MIAC it MIGHT be easier to get one of these players, but really, I mean seriously, they're not a solid breedin...

Another Jr. League?
Have we had enough yet? Its bad anough that some of the college scouts and higher level junior scouts have their own seasons to caoch, opponents to scout and recruits to contact, that are closer. Are we still adding leagues now too? Lets take a look at the leagues playing right now in the central ar...

Maybe I missed it... Sorry if i did! Great 8 Rosters?
I've been trying to overcome my depression of the private school domination of the state tourney. Just Kidding guys! Congrats to the winners, they do deserve it. I know how hard it is to get there and win. It was a long time ago for me but still the most exciting time of my life. Even if it was 20 y...

What about the Hornets?
Edina has the best shot. They're pretty heavy up front. The size and skill of their forwards might be the answer to Ness. We'll see. Roseau is still pretty good and does a great job of limiting shots at all. Who knows though, they've had an answer for all so far, in all situations.

Top pick?
B&G, Whose your top pick (current or not current) for coaches in the area? I've heard some good things about all and I'm sure the ones that had the most wins are easiest ones. Who has had the toughest go at it the area? In your opinion? I've read once, that all have had been under the rope at le...

Congrats to SR Coach Weston
Hey coach, congrats on the milestone. I just read about it in todays stcloud times. Its just to bad idiots don't appreciate your hard work, dedication and time away from your family to coach kids. Kids who are proud to having had been coached or are being coached by you. I've been reading the commen...

Rams All the way
They're just too good. This team has all you could ask for. Mr Hockey. (Ness) (if it happened as a junior) It should be with the best players leaving anyway. Plus they play so well as a team. This might be the best TEAM... Yes TEAM in the state. They play the most unselfish hockey I've ever seen. Th...

By Far the best. Not many that could play any position but goalie. Watching him the other night, him not even looking at the bench, he could probably play caoch too. Sorry Buffalo, Moorhead, Tech and Brainerd........ Maybe better luck next year. this kid is too good for this WHOLE team too lose at a...

So whats changed from last year? Weren't they together then? Stats show them as the only line to score any goals from the year before. Now they play an inferior schedule. They might be talented, but against who? Beating teams by a lot that only only win 2 games all year. Not knocking the new coach, ...

Me either George. I still haven't heard anything about the old Apollo coach. Any sightings? Saw he isn't doing the Junior B thing anymore. Well read a while back anyway. 2001-2002 Get your history books out!
That year was the final year the Eagles beat Moorhead and Roseau. I believe it was the last 20 win or close too, season they had. Howe and Hartman took games over. Thats how I remember the last REAL TIME any scouts were in the MAC too. Even NHL guys. But Hey, I'm old and I only watch the Tech vs. Ap...

What about the series last year between the Sc teams, Goldy
I'm looking at the games from last the last two season and it looks as though the games were very close. At the least by a couple of goals. I went to one and it actually looked like the (now "A") Eagles had the upper hand. Am I way off beat?
