1st choice- Brainerd
2nd choice- Anybody other than Roseau or Moorhead. It would be great to see a different team represent 8AA at the X!

Considering the top 3 AA scorers after this week are all on the same line, I would say Brainerd has the top line in the state! Josh Arichibald, Mitchell McLain and Matt Pohlkamp are definitely fun to watch!

I say keep Lucia as coach. As a SIOUX fan, I love seeing all the primadona's recruited by the Gopher's every year and the coach can't do anything with them. Also as a SIOUX fan, I would hate to see a quality coach like Dean Blaise head to the Gopher's.

If I had to chose an answer to this twisted question, I would chose losing most of your defensemen. If a team lost 4 or more of their defensemen and there weren't any solid players to take those spots, the forwards on that team wouldn't be confident. They wouldn't be able to make things happen in t...

Brainerd's varsity will be mostly Seniors, with the exception of 4-5 players. They have a very strong Senior group who was rated in the top 10 as Bantams. Most of the Seniors played varsity under Archibald and have spent time playing together in the offseason. I wouldn't count them out and I certain...

I certainly hope that BAHA doesn 't make the same mistake twice and have the HS coach also be the BAHA director. Each program deserves to have someone's who has the time to solely focus on each individual program. Are there and any other HS head coaches around the state who also double as the youth ...

A similar situation happened in the ND state tourney in 1977. Grand Forks Red River and Grand Forks Central played for the championship. It was also 8 overtimes with a 1-1 tie. The game started at 7 and they called it a tie after midnight. It was pretty cool having co-champions from the same town. O...

I see your point, but I sure would like to see a potential Roseau vs. Edina final, so I'm torn.

Warriors win 2-0. Great game for Peterson. Nice win for the boys going into sections! What a treat to listen to the Cloquet announcers. They did a great job.

It should be a blow-out. I don't think the Eagles have a prayer against Frazier and company. My prediction 6-1 Warriors.

I hope there are many associations viewing this thread and are seeing what NOT to do in managing their own associations. Keep hockey about the kids and not adult agenda's. I sympathize with the Stillwater association members who will be paying for the actions of a few for a long time. Our Northern t...

EP wins first game 3-1. It was a very tight game. Shots were even and Ep gets an empty netter at the end of the game. I think Brainerd probably surprised #1 by playing them as tough as they did.

The rematch tomorrow morning should be another good game!

Fanman....I'm curious, other than not scoring a goal, how was GR not on their game? It looked to me like they were working pretty hard and had alot of great chances to score. Brainerd's goalie played awesome, as did GR. It looked like GR showed up to play. Give both teams the credit they deserve for...

Quit Whinning Benelli........Brainerd got the job done and played a great game. GR had 2 power plays and didn 't get the Job done. You're right, GR also played a good game, but today Brainerd was did what they needed to get the W.

The North should boil down to those 3 teams. It would be nice to GR and Brainerd meet in the championship of the Brainerd tourney to see how the teams compare. The solid and complete GR team that we're hearing about couldn't choke in 2 tourney's in a row could they?
