I think you're missing the point behind the fights. Two guys don't just look at each other and say, "I want to fight you", "you're in luck, cuz I want to fight you too!"... there's a purpose behind it, especially in Juniors. If a guy's hacking out there in a college or high schoo...

I think that fighting is a must when players don't all wear full facemasks. The players need to be able to police the game themselves, or else we'd be seeing guys getting run from behind all of the time. It's one way you can get back at somebody in a fair way. So it sounds like Oliver delegates authority, demands leadership from his seniors, and steps in personally when he needs to. The West coach, Tony Magee, is moving on to be the head coach of the Northern Lights. Good move for both him and the Lights, but too bad for the West team.

Any school administrator (AD, Principal, AP) or coach who is worth a dang would not allow a kid to sign up for another sport if it's obvious enough that they're only doing it to serve a suspension.

Two pretty good hockey players matching up in the State Tennis Tournament tomorrow in Class A doubles. UM Recruit Nico Sacchetti and Lincoln Stars Draftee Spencer McMillan face off in the first round.

I heard him say that there definitely were players at AA who would be getting looked at (Patrick White most likely)... I don't think he meant that there wouldn't be any A players who could end up playing in the NHL, I simply think that he KNOWS of AA player(s) they WILL be looking at.

Patrick White and his crew are going to pull off another upset... he's playing his best hockey when it counts... not a good draw for the #1 seed.

What are the crowds like at the Class A tournament? I've only been for the first few years when there were maybe 3 or 4 thousand, then have stuck with AA since. My point is this... if the crowds at the X are getting bigger and bigger for Class A, and there's potential to have the small school tourne...
