There is a reason why JV teams don't have a state tournament or play offs. It is because usually 3 - 6 players are also varsity players. Some HS coaches go for the wins over developing plavers and some coaches do the opposite. It is so impossible to rank these teams. What about strength of schedule?...

They have been doing that for years. I know one of the Walters brothers from Hibbing and maybe both did this in the NAHL.

1982 SI did coverage of MN State High School Tournament. It was a 3 or 4 page article on the whole tournament.

Cloquet plays Centennial thursday, then goes back down to play Wayzata friday and stays down to play Eagan on Saturday. Tough schedule. I say Cloquet 2 Wayzata 1.
