govs

govs- for me a better chance at the state tourny would be best at A for Johnson. Seeing SSP move down to A a few years back i thought was a joke, but they went to the tourny and have been more competetive in A than AA I see similarities between SSP and Johnson, former rivals, former powers, now on h...

class of 2009 best in some time

Honestly this is the best high school class I have seen in some time at the tournament. In the end they might not have the most D-1 players or most NHL players, but at the High School level, this is the best class I have seen in a very very long time at the state tourny. just throwing some names dow...

sorry to rain on your parade but someone has to be a debbie downer

i posted this in the sta lf thread

I have seen both teams play a couple of times this year, probably one of the few that could say this about both teams.

i think sta will win 6 or 7-2 LF keeps getting the bad draw at the X

de or HM

what about Nick Licari from DE from the lat 90's I remember him being on the DE team as an 8th grader and I believe this was a time when DE went every year forever. I think maybe Cloquet or Greenway might have gone and broke his streak but i'm not sure any DE fans know????

ssp

i think everyone besides the sta fans would want ssp to win.
even though sta beat ssp 2 times i think it will be close going either way. its the section final, games are always close.
ssp has got the tradition, i think people would want to see that at state, i definately like the old school here.

But he is saying other 500 enrollment class A schools are small northern, western, or central MN communities. He is saying that STA is getting the crem de la creme of the Southern Me...

nothing against welch as a coach at all, but taking a look at the 2 progams he has coached Hastings and SSP both youth programs are not very good, maybe he never did anything with either youth programs, maybe he did i'm just saying maybe it has caught up to him. im in no way bashing him, i'm just sa...

ssp

you don't mess with ssp, its people or its tradition ssp is one of the last blue collar "small" communities in the metro area. ssp is a proud town and proud of its accomplishments. chances are your parents or grand parents are from ssp. So don't be bashing because you think your grass is g...

if Sibley played Johnson in the 2nd round they would have had to be the 4th or 5th seed, Johnson was #1 in the metro that year for sure, so they were the #1 seed in 2AA that year.

champlin park(AA) and both chisago lakes(A) in 95 were monumental upsets, i do not remember what seeds they were but i believe both had losing records.

Lakeville (b4 the split) came in a couple times in the early 2000's with losing records but they probably had a high seed in section 1AA
