Coaching
Coaching is an art form. You either have it or you don't. If you can relate to the kids then your teaching will get through to them. Now if you know nothing about the sport you are teaching then god help the children. Grip it and rip it!!

I don't understand why any of this is you buisness where a kid goes to school and where he plays football. I would guess from your posts that you must be from North St Paul and if this is true be careful not to throw stones when you live in a glass house. All I am saying is check the North St Paul P...

Kicking
I was just at a high school game where a kid was thrown out for kicking another where the sun doesn't shine and he is only out 1 game. I don't understand how the TC district could inflict a 5 game suspension. From what you said earlier the peewee player didn't even make contact. It is a shame a high...

SLP Coach
Good for you standing up for your players. So many coaches like to complain how bad their kids are it is refreshing to see a coach stand up for a player. Where are these little kids parents that were standing by the door. Any hockey person knows to stay away from the door as the players go out.
<...

Most Varsity coaches don't get that. What area are these guys from. 5 to 7 thousand dollars is enough to make me change associations. JK

Anoka outshooting opponents
I find the statment funny that Anoka would beat Woodbury when Anoka got beat by Johnson 6-2 the next day. And your shot totals are a little misleading if you figure Anoka had like 50 some shots against a very bad South St Paul Team. I think Woodbury has a nice squad and I think 2AA is a lot deaper t...

Johnson VS Hill
I am trying to figure out how you consider a check on the boards a cheap shot. The way it went down was Arrogoni was going for a loose puck and was taken out by the Johnson Defensemen. (No call was made) After that collision the puck ended up in Arrogoni's feet and he was blasted by the other Johnso...

I know Roseville, St Paul Johnson, Benilde and Fergus Falls are in Moorhead this weekend. I do believe Apple Valley usually makes the trip also.

Other Teams?
The way you guys talk you would think that there are only 3 teams in this section. The funny thing is someone said Tartan looked young at the state tourny, but if you look at their roster most of their scoring graduated. The second question is if Stewart from Hastings is going to stay in school or g...

Not a Chance
Washburn does not have a chance to knock anybody off. I'm a St Paul City guy and have watched our teams beat up on all the Minneapolis schools for the past few seasons. Thank god we only have to play them once this year. Washburn has a terrible program. Their coach is quite a piece of work. Last yea...

Inner city hockey
I do agree with elliot that this is starting to get into a youth dicussion, but the youth programs will determine if the high schools survive. Just recently we were informed that the TC district will stay alive. If it is still being discussed then we are getting bad info. If the TC district is elimi...

Demographics
I disagree totally with your comment that saying different ethnic groups do not play hockey is racism. I am in the heart of an inner city program that for many years now has tried to expose other cultures to hockey. We went as far as to giving them free gear, free ice time and rides to the rink. We ...

Woods
I think its a shame that a goaltender with a good reputation as a solid player needs to transfer. This is what is killing high school hockey. All of a sudden we are suppossed to believe that Woods wants a catholic education at about the same time as many of Tartans good players have graduated. Way t...

I have good info on 2AA. Woodbury loses some guys but had a decent JV team. I see them as not being a big threat unless someone teaches them how to toughen up a little bit. Johnson could be the sleeper. They have 4 of their 5 defensmen back as well as their starting goaltender and 6 returning forwar...

Cretin, Tartan
I am glad to see there are only 2 teams in section 2AA. There are two other teams in that section that will be returning a lot of talent from last year. You guys just keep talking about a Tartan vs Cretin Section Final because when the finals do come around 1 or both of those teams might be watching...

Selects
Wow you people are sure defensive when it comes to asking a question. Why is it when someone asks a question do they always have to be someones "buddy". All I am saying is that I thought Galloway was in the top 3 Defensemen that I watched that weekend. As far as Minnesota Hockey or USA Hoc...

I would like to know if anyone was out at Plymouth watching, and if you were let me know what you thought about Brian Galloway of Johnson. Como going A
There will for sure be some shake up in 2AA because Como is going class A. I also heard Hastings could be moved to be with teams closer in geography. The rumor is this opens the door for Hill, Roseville, North St Paul. Two of these teams could end up in 2AA.

St Paul Johnson
As far as if Johnson can win another title I don't know that answer, but I know we will never stop trying. The varsity team this year worked harder than any team I have ever been around and came up just a little short of a section title. If our bantam group buys in like this last group we could have...
