He's pretty smart 4.0 in school. Top average in his class at Virginia. Pretty smart I think Common sense and book smarts are two different things. I know someone who was top in my class 2 years ago, and he's not smart, not street smart. You can't translate how smart a person is at Chemistry to how ...

D16 dad, youth success doesn't translate to high school success. I remember one year where Moorhead won the Bantam A MAHA and VFW states. Don't be too sure that they will be "good". Not saying they won't be. Just pointing out the fact that:

YOUTH Success doesn't = HIGH SCHOOL success

you are exactly right wishock..the Rams played better and better as the season went on. The stifling defense was a nice upgrade. A congratulation is due to the unknown coach of the Rams..Jamie Byfuglien. He came in and worked with the defense a lot and really improved the defense corps. Without him....

When you think about it, the Rams didn't exactly "sneak" past the Spuds. By saying this, you are implying that the Spuds team was by far head and shoulders above the Rams, when the Rams had a talented team. But no doubt, the Spuds were a more veteran, talented team.

Verbally committed. So SCSU is the college where he intends to go. They are interested in him, and want him if he grows to be good player. Looks like he's on track. Going to the Five Nations Tournament for '91s in Czech Republic. Kudos to Oliver.

I know Nolan pretty well, and here's what he told me. He is walking now. He will play hockey again, and hopefully this year. He said the Doc said he had a good surgery. The kid's got a desire like noone else, and no doubt will return to full strength. Anyone else know anything? You say you know him...

I don't feel right putting BSM, HM and STA with the likes of Roseau. Just because Roseau is a public school, with no invitations to the top players in the state. If my memory serves me right, all three of the previously named teams are private school..

I know Mattson is good and Lovick is a skilled kid. Another that surprised me was that Knockemus from Roseau. He seemed a little out of sorts at the state tournament, but he did well during the last half of the season for Roseau and is very fast; could be something there, not sure.

You can't sit here and rag on a kid who made varsity as a 9th grader on a team that went to the state tournament! But yet again, you can't praise the kid either until he does something that is condusive to us thinking he's gonna be great. He's got pretty good size, a decent skill set. If he hits the...

He is a beast in the corners and can make a play. I think he is a solid player. Fink...Wow...Kid can take over a game if he turns it on. Scores, it s...
