West DESTROYS AL 10 - 3.
Rough night for AL. AL came out strong and got out to 2 goal lead and then things spiral out of control for the AL girls with West scoring 8 unanswered. I thought West looked good, quick forwards and strong D. AL could have used some of that.

Probably where they belong... :(

Albert Lea 5th seed. West is dominant since they had the line shake up.

I just don't know how you put AL at 5 with a split of Northfield and taking 3 points from Faribo. I definately think Austin and West have the top two respectively. Should be interesting.

10-3 Could of been worse. West Coach (classy guy) called off the dogs in the third period. Had his players just dump in and worked on his nuetral zone trap in the third. WE NEED MORE COACHES LIKE HIM.

The West first line was still playing hard and shooting in the third...
2 goals by the first line, one even after running time.
Class?

I think the goals in the third were scored by Albert Lea players. Pretty sure all shots on the A.L. tender were by A.L. players looked like they just wanted to get the game into running time so they could go home..

The West first liners walked in a few times in the third and did score 2.
Albert Lea scored 2 of West's goals in the first 2 periods... :?

AL is in a slide. Spiral out of control.

Scouted the Owatonna/Austin Game last night. Is there a cheaper team in hockey than Owatonna? There girls prefer resting in the penalty box.

Jet you were MIA. Who was the young man with your wife?

Austin will lose in the sections because:

1. Defense: I can't understand why they play so many defensemen. They have 2 that are really slow, and turnover the puck or take penalties.
Austin only plays 2 forward lines and I understand why, after watching their 3rd line. ( Must not of had Jet as a YH coach.) Yet, they will play all of there defense. Coaching mistake.

2. You can't beat a team three times.

3. Overconfident.

4. MW has sent a message to the section. They have created some magic.

5. Top reason: Faribault will win it all.

Potential break for Austin, If a forward on Austin's first line starts catching passes and making smart plays everything could change. But then again will it be enough to beat a focused falcon team.

I didn't use a single player's name. Show me some love Jet. This should get things going.

I was MIA last night. (some of us work for a living) I took my "boring nice" to the friendly skies. I heard it was a rough game against Owatonna. I am just glad no one got hurt. I would hate to see any team lose a player at this point.

It will be interesting when the seeds come out today. I still think the top 4 come from the big nine. MW and AL game was quite a surprise. I didn't see that coming. I can not see AL at a 5th seed though. I agree with all. I believe Head to Head has to carry more weight. AL does have the win and tie against Faribault.

Interesting game the other day against New Ulm. Their goalie is ineligible for nine weeks. They have no backup. They put a brand new kid in. I was surprised how quickly Bray called off the dogs. Some fans thoughtit was to soon. I still remember the days when this same group of girls ran up the score on a brand new Austin U12 team and many others. It is amazing how some teams continue to develop and others plateau. Example Owatonna.

By the way falcons, my wife wishes to be left out of the forum, She may have to reveal an identity, if she is not. Her words excactly were
"who was the only Faribault Fan at the game last night" and by the way Albert Lea, she takes cash for info.

What's the story on the NU goalie, is it an injury of a MSHSL thing? That Faribo win makes a little more sense now
New Ulm is one of those teams that likes to run it up, it wouldn't have broken my heart to see that happen to them. I wouldn't have said a word about it either. :) Looks like Marshall might make it to State after all.

I'm disappointed in the seeding obviously, but there's not much I can do about it now. It is what it is. The AL girls need to step up and play more consistently, those few down games cost them in the end.
I think perception played a role in the voting too, Faribo is perceived to be a better team than AL and AL is perceived to be inconsistent. FACT is, Faribo has not beaten AL this year and yet they are seeded ahead if AL.

Before and since the seedings came out, have had several Austin contacts, including one coach, tell me that Austin is worried about AL.

:? :?

AL gets NFLD first anyway, so one game at a time.

Go girls !!

Play because you love the game...

New Ulm goalie was out due to MSHL issues. Heard several rumors. The paper said academics. What an opportune time.

TSMI you use the word "there" the same way Falcons89 does. It should be spelled "their". Are you the same person or is that the Faribault education system hard at work. :D

Thanks for the english lesson.....Just a mistake......Never attended Faribault schools.

I heard the same thing about the New Ulm goalie, that it was about her grades.

Careful jet, given some of the current events at AHS, I'm not so sure you want to bring up education systems. #-o

Why, do you need a good laugh? Although, before the season started I accurately predicted Austin would be the team to beat. 8) That makes me 1 for like a gazillion. =D>

I predict...
Austin will make it to GAC and play at least 1 game.
West will roll past Waseca.
Faribo will blow past East.
AL :-# (self imposed gag order in place)

You are all so weak. I will tell it like it is.

MW and Faribault win.

AL beats North field 4-2.

AL then beats Austin, because according to Twinnesota, the Austin coaches have already conceded. Also, I have disclosed the secrets to beating Austin and they are now public.

The MW vs. Faribault will be a good one. Mw is playing in dominating fashion and seems unstoppable.

I guess AL can decide who they want to play. The team(MW), that spanked them twice, would be a third time if they were to meet agian, or the team they have not lost to yet. Notice I said yet. We will get that opportunity. :D

I detect a bit of sarcasm in your post (DUH)...

The Austin people only said that they were worried about AL.

I suggested that they worry about MW more.

FB was NOT mentioned...except with a laugh. After all, AL got 3 out of 4 points on FB. But FB "talks" a good game.

Thanks for your post Falcon.

AL- 3
Winona- 1

Best game for the A.L. girls this season. This gives them momentum going into the postseason. Even though I don't agree with the seedings, anyone can beat anyone on any given night.

Falcon 89 for your info Austin coaches have not conceded and for sure you dont know any of the plays. If you think you know the secrets why dont you share with the rest of us on this forum. Cause I would love to know what you know. How can you make predictions any ways its any one's game. It's all about who wants it more.
