Hmm. Why not Bjerk boblee?

I just don't think he is in the group as almost all of the afore mentioned. There is talk about him losing his job...
Have to agree with you on this one. Good goalie but not an elite goalie. The kid behind him is not just the future but the present (IMO) having watched this kid alot at other levels. He is big and cool as a cucumber.

haviing watched a lot of games this year I do beleive a lot of you are on the same page as far as who are in a league of their own as far as HS goalies here in MN. One kid that I do not think gets that much recognition is the Edina goalie though. But he does have a helluva good team in front of him.

But if I were to go into a game during crucnch time I really like the Hjelle and this Yumusaklar kids just becasue of their teams they paly in front of. They see a lot of shots and keep their teams in almost every game.

How they would react to only seeing 20 shots or less would be interesting though to see how they keep that mental edge. ANyhow thats my two cents.

There is no way that Hermantown is 19-0-1 if they didn't have a good goalie. Nate Hardy is one of the best in the state. Did anyone see the way he played against Marshall? I was at the game and he was incredible. He even turned away Jack Connolly on a breakaway which really set the tone for the game.

East Hockey Puck

Ellingson very strong positional player tremendous team support around him. but the kid I like the best is the "Beast from the East" Ben Leis.
The kid is capable of stealing a game from ANYONE! Go Greyhounds!
I think that Ben Leis is great golie as well, but I just think that his dad shouldn't be on the forum hyping him up

Hjelle is the best goalie this year and will be the best next year...why you might ask...well he faces about 60 shots a night, turns away around 55, and he always keeps his team in it. I don't care who you are, if you see about 60 shots a game night, you will get better.

Leis is the best in the state. he's only let in 15 goals in the last 11 games and east is on an 11 game win streak.one more key element is that Leis faces a lot more shots than most goalies in the state look at the stats
.............................gm min shots sv goals GAA SV%
1. Ben Leis DE Sr. 21 1056.5 507 468 39 1.88 0.923
2. Kevin Auth CI Sr. 16 788.5 484 444 40 2.59 0.917
3. Paul Moberg FL So. 18 935.2 484 435 49 2.67 0.899
4. Reidar Jensen GR Sr. 19 912.5 441 402 39 2.18 0.912
5. Reid Ellingson CEC Sr. 16 823 419 393 26 1.61 0.938
6. Landon Snider BPP Sr. 15 707.7 396 361 35 2.52 0.912

so even if someone was hyping ben up they have good reason to and this proves it. he's faced almost 100 shots more then ellingson

Good call Goldy...Hess should deffinatley not be on there haha...hes faced no shots...thats why everyone thinks hes amazing...yea hes good...but not that good...he is easily beatable...but i think Ben Leis is very good...his GAA is very good just under 2...and a save percentage of 92...those are really good for a HS goalie...

You have 2 Junior goalies in Hjelle (I.Falls) and Yumusaklar (Lake South) posting higher save percentages, and facing FAR more shots with a much less talented team than Duluth East.

You have Yumusaklar leading the state in saves, with Hjelle a handful behind him.

Lies is good...the best? I dont think so

Leis has faced more shots because he has played in 5 more games...Look at GAA & SV%. Wow, Reid is leading at both. Ben is a good goalie, but not the best.

East Hockey Puck isn't Edd Leis. Learn something before you post next time, m'kay?
