East 1 GR 0. GR got screwed, the refs were terrible, East got every call....wait, I'm not passero7. Seriously though, it was a good, hard fought game and East came up one better. East carried the play for the better part of the first two periods then Rapids came on in the 3rd but couldn't sneak one in. A little chippier than the night before, but not many penalties called. A lot of missed interference and elbows on BOTH sides. Game could have gone either way, but East hung on for the win, so congratulations to DE. GR put up a helluva fight playing their seventh game in 4-1/2 days. Nice job by both teams. Maybe a little glimpse into the next 4 years at the high school level.

It (passer) makes you wonder what's worse... being a whining parent, or pretending to be one.

Didn't think congratulating the opposing team for a hard fought victory was whining. Guess I'll recheck the definition.

By the way, the Rapids / East battles sound like they were something to watch.

It was. Cloquet and GR also had a couple of great games. Productive weekend for GR.
