Sure NP hits, but dont think orono is just a bunch of pretty boys Ive seen my fair share of them roughing it up, so dont think just cause NP hits orono is gonna roll over and die, because im pretty sure Warroads forecheck is a lot more aggressive then NP's will ever be and orono played warroad so dont think their not used to getting hit, and im still sticking with 5-4 in possible OT orono

although i havent seen either team this year i gotta pull for orono based off of experience. these kids grew up watching the orono varsity in its best years. they remember 2004 when orono fought hard to beat the no 1 seed in the first round of state (2-1 OT over warroad) and they remember in 2005 when when they lost in OT in the section final to a shakopee team that was not better than them. a lot of these kids were on the team that went to state last year and if they werent, they were living it right there with the team.
if the kids on orono remember what they saw growin up and play with heart...they are looking at another state tournament appearance

Correction: Shakopee beat orono in the semifinals, then went on to beat Mound in the finals!!!i play hockey wrote:although i havent seen either team this year i gotta pull for orono based off of experience. these kids grew up watching the orono varsity in its best years. they remember 2004 when orono fought hard to beat the no 1 seed in the first round of state (2-1 OT over warroad) and they remember in 2005 when when they lost in OT in the section final to a shakopee team that was not better than them. a lot of these kids were on the team that went to state last year and if they werent, they were living it right there with the team.

He may sit in front as you point out, but only Richfield has someone big enough to move him. He is actually a little slower than one would expect, but hey he is just an 8th grader. I would watch out for him in two years.... He does skate and plays real well. I have watched him three times this year and am impressed with his size and the way he plays for his age.rickwardo44 wrote:i take that back hootie
but NP doesnt hav much besides witty and lapic
all ambroz does is sit in front
I am guessing that NP will be tougher than Orono. Orono did not impress me as a skating team. I will go with NP. I will be there to watch.

SO..since he's only an 8th grader what's the chances he stays put at NP? Now would be the best time to leave with the purposed transfer rule correct? I heard the mom doesn't want to make the same mistake with him as she did with older brother Matt (Although he's been tearing it up in Juniors and accepted a "full ride" to UNO. Not sure it was such a big mistake). I've been impressed with the young lad! NP 3 Orono 2.Zamman wrote:He may sit in front as you point out, but only Richfield has someone big enough to move him. Which is exactly what he should do if he doesnt wanna play at NP. I wish more people would make this decision instead of transferring to a AHA or something like thathockeystud26 wrote:Alright I know Seth, and here is the deal. He got offered a full ride from Shattuck but he doesn't think he'll go. He said he will prolly play in NP til he's like 16 and then just play Juniors.
