What a great effort from Albert Lee. What they lacked in polish they made up for in effort.

Section 8 is one step closer to the AA/A sweep.

Good game. I didn't think Albert Lea could hang but they played well. Good luck to them in the consolation round.

Albert Lea should be proud of this game, they played right with Warroad, this was a good game for Section 1A, I hope 1AA can do the same vs Hill. I would love to see Section 1 get stronger and push some at the big dance.

Great job AL, big win Warroad, got to root for my Northern boys in the end........GO ROSEAU AND GO WARROAD!!!!!!!

11:10 past your bedtime RamFan 2010, He was spelling it the way the announcer said it. It is called semantics. Shouldn't you be in the cities instead of at home on your computer?

all I can say is..."Where is Super Fan" With all his sport knowledge he should have predicted this Warroad win.

Sorry buddy for putting your immature mouth in it's place. See ya at Mariucci...oh yeah,I won't...your team won't be televised.

PS...did you take any notes from THEE "SUPER FAN"?

That might just be about the funniest thing I've read on this forum. Nice work. Nanne is such a clown.

Unfortunately I missed the game, but it sounds like the local lads did themselves proud. I liked their chances to advance, but it just wasn't in the cards.

Nice job boys, it sounds like you made them earn it.

Yeah RSI you are right. I was at the game and they could have easily won with one bounce of the puck their way. Warroad did not look like a 4 seed in this game. Many of their shots were weak and right at the goalie including their two powerplay goals. The AL goalie just didn't cover his five hole well enough. Warroad will have to play A LOT better if they want to beat Hermantown. Hats off to AL. I was cheering for them because I wanted to see LF play Warroad because after seeing the games tonight I thought that would be an interesting matchup.

Really going out on a limb there aren't you slappy?? Its all "up for grabs." I think all the non-delusional people would agree, thats fairly obvious.

Yes Warroad beat us/Albert Lea fair and sqaure. However you are wrong Zamboni about the Albert Lea coach, Roy needing to watch out for the Hot Goalies in the state tournament. To remind you we/Albert Lea had a hot goalie going into the state tournament in Clay Casanova. Clay played very well all year. Clay had a 93% save percentage this year and he was really hot going into the state tournament. Clay only gave up 2 goals combined in the Section 1A. Goalie pplay did not decide that game last night. It was 0 to 0 in the 2nd period last night. What decieded that game last night was a couple of things which were the following.

1. Warroad out shot us/Albert Lea. In the 2nd period we had 5 shots to 14.

2. Warroad scored the first goal on Clay and he held them for over 10 minutes until we scored. So the Warroad goalie choked.

3. Now what really decided that game was a couple of penalties on Casey Woodside. It only took 5 seconds for Warroad to score on Clay and on the second on one of the Tigers in Jared Bowman fell down in front of the net. Jared was the blocker the one who was supposed to help Clay (they scored the 2nd one in three seconds). Finally the last goal was on a open net so it was really a 2 to 1 final.

4. They Warroad was faster and quicker than us/Albert Lea. They had longer arms. The puck hardly spent time in the Warroad zone it only spent 18 minutes of the 51 minutes in the Warroad zone. Oh and we only took 20 shots to Warroad 35. So Clay had more shots on him while the Warroad goalie was pretty bored with no action at his end of the ice basically all game long.

So get your facts straight Zamboni.

ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH CLAY SUPERFAN....sounds like it

Anyway AL played a strong game. I feel like everyone started clicking at the end of the season. The defense didn't let any quality shots get to the net. Warroads goalie didn't choke either he played well. Both teams were fairly even. AL beat them in hitting. It could have gone both ways.

SUPER FUNNY (AKA) SUPER FAN. You WIN or LOSE the game, score means nothing unless your in a tournament with goals for or against. Stay out of the PENALTY BOX if you want to win the game. Albert Lea opened the door for Warroad on the power play and couldn't match them on the power play. #4 you said that they were faster than us and had LONGER ARM'S than us. I have heard alot , but LONGER ARM'S, that is SUPER FUNNY.
