When I have seen them play I was surprised but the lack of skilled kids they have. It was different not seeing kids being able to move the puck as I have seen them in the past. I'm wondering what impact that fact that they haven't made the state tourney the past few years & the section realignments are having. I believe in the past, AHA was appealing to families as they saw their chances of appearing in the state tournanent as a "lock" given the talent they had & the relative weak section they were in. With the move to a much stronger section & the fact they haven't been to state, I'm wondering if parents/kids are considering other options. I believe the longer they are away from "the show" the longer it will be for parents to send the their kids there. It will be interesting the next couple of years.

I remembger when Baribal was a freshman and he didn't really stick out. This years team is real young, I believe they will be strong again next year.

AHA

They have just had some weak recruiting classes the last couple of years and now it's catching up to them. I'm sure they'll land some 5-stars soon enough.

Yeah, they'll be fine. As long as they don't recruit in White Bear.

Most people realize that when someone has "superfan" in their name they are wannabe players and usually have no other means but to talk about what they do not know.

Who was recruited by AHA? I know you cannot answer that because there is no one.....
Take a look at the roster, if you take Boerger out of the picture there is no no one other that came to AHA as a junior and they have not had anyone transfer as a junior or senior since Smeja in 2001. I bet some other schools have had transfers as juniors and seniors since then....Most came as freshman and have played all four years.

He said "the show" and that starts on Thursday in March. STA plays in the county fair that starts on Wednesday.

Not that I really should get involved but Mike Carmen would be one player whom was "recruited". I know AHA doesnt have to recruit much because they are a powerhouse now. Kids want to enroll there as they get seen by scouts more often on a bigger stage...

Oh and if you want to claim academics on Carmen's account you should probably find a newspaper, read the article about his academics and his suspension for the first half of the year and then come back to the board...

Carmen came in as a freshman played two years then went to the USDT, most people know this. Academics may not have been his forte, but no one here said that he went there for academics. But keep trying to find the recruits. If they are there as freshman, there is no point to any argument.

And the kickinwing is only on here to get me going.... I already know this person knows nothing.

AHA vs. White Bear

Post by save1 »

I was in attendance for this game and let's just say that the score is not indicative of how close the game wasn't. White Bear simply could not capitalize on their opportunities and AHA scored one goal that was pretty week. It almost seemed as if AHA was a step slower all game. That being said, the Hill Murray vs. Duluth East was a much faster paced game.

4 straight state tournaments and 2 titles. Seems to me that there are only a couple of teams that can state that. Last time I checked the only S.O.B.S are people who post on here with nothing better to do. Including myself....
