Like they would schedule STA. They need to worry about beating teams like Greenway 4-3

Greenway isn't a bad team. And if memory serves it was only two or three years ago when Greenway beat STA.

This is not what the thread is about. Point is, if IFalls wants to boist that they can beat these top teams, than they should play them and not try to overshadow a good win for DM. I know Greenway split with STA a few years ago. I'm not trying to bash Greenway and say they are a bad team. But, I will go on record and say they are average at best and they did stay up with the Falls. BIAFP says the Falls is better than DM and that should go in the 7A thread.

I'Falls probably has had their schedule in tact for a long time. Both STA and DM are very good teams, but so is I'Falls.

I'd like to hear an unbiased recap of this game if anyone has one.
The score is so lopsided, and when you look at the game both teams played against BSM something seems off.

And anyone who's spent anytime on the "bored" knows I'm not an STA fan.
Just like to hear what people that watched it thought.

And not you watcher!

I wasn't at them game. Probably good to have the loss now instead of come state, just sucks this'll put them down for seeding when it comes to state.

Hmmm, this means we need to start a thread about how much Marshall needs to opt up, right?

Makes perfect sense when you think of it this way.
DM beat the team (Breck) that beat STA. And then went on to beat STA.

7A22A, all teams have off nights and on nights. This is why you can't compare individual games. Both great clubs, both could win on any given night.

Bash Brother, it's called a joke. Or is that not familiar to you? It was a joke in that I don't agree with the statement, but a point that few have responded to, which is quite legitimate.

the cadets didnt show up to play, DM came ready to play and showed STA that they are not that amazing and they cant just show up and expect to win. hopefully there will be a rematch at state, when both teams will show up with their A games. Its to bad that DM came down and STA couldnt even give them a game. But, as I said before, if there is a rematch it should be a good one.

I wasn't trying to go down the circular logic path, especially in an STA thread(If ya know what I mean) but STA beat BSM who beat both DM and Breck, and then the 8-2 loss just seemed like there might be more to the game.........ya know lot's of penalties, injuries, that sort of thing.
I gotta stop on this though, cause goof ball will start posting

How exactly is PS2 wrong? It's a system that uses who you play and the goal differential in those games to give your team a number. It then arranges those numbers in decreasing order and attaches team names to it. It is a computer system that is unbiased. In St Thomas' first 13 games they won the Silver Cup, they had a bunch of good/decent competition and won all of the games, aside from a 1 goal loss. This is Marshall's first win over a team worth noting (maybe Hermantown, but they're town); they played Benilde and Tonka and lost both.

Now, St Thomas has ten games left, 8 they're probably win in running time, or close to it, and then games against Tonka and HM.
DM, on the other hand, has ten games left, 5 against quality teams (as much as it pains me to say Superior is a quality team this year), 3 against decent teams, and only 2 that should end in running time.
PS2, the QRF, the BCS (or so they say), and most other ranking systems are complete at the END of the season. Based on who they've played, this is where they sit, but neither has completed their season. St Thomas' good opponents were clumped at the beginning of the season, DM's are yet to come. Who's ahead at the end will probably have a lot to do with how St Thomas does against Tonka and HM and then how these two do at state.

all i hear is a bunch of ranting and raving about sta. You can make up as many excuses as you want, but in the end it was Marshall-8 STA-2

What are you talking about? My post is in response to CarGuy's post. I wasn't commenting on the game at all. I was explaining why St Thomas is atop PS2 now and what will probably happen by the end of the season. Marshall should climb if they keep winning and St Thomas should fall quite a bit due to these losses and SOS. By the end of the season things will be right.
