How the hell do some of you guys think this post is about Edina looking past someone? They face 2 good teams on the road!

It was because this was originally posted on Tuesday prior to Edina's game against Armstrong. No one made a thread about that game.

On Friday I can't really see Cloquet pulling off an upset, but they'll play a nice hard game and hopefully wear Edina down enough for East to have a shot at them. I've been looking forward to this Battle of the Cakeaters all year, and it will be the last test of how good East really is compared to another legitimate title threat of the regular season. I expect a thriller.

Should be two great matchups. I cheering for both Cloquet & East in these matchups.

Cloquet vs Edina: Well Cloquet at home and Edina possibly looking forward to East... but still going with Edina in this one overtime.

East vs. Edina: Both have tough games the night before. Both are on a roll. Edina on the road and having to play at the Decc...not the best ice from what I've heard from previous players.

East in an upset

Going along with the theme of this thread, these should be a couple of very good games. I always enjoy it when a strong metro team like Edina makes the trip up north for a weekend of state tournament caliber hockey during the regular season it's only good for hockey in general. As far as this particular trip north for the Hornets, I'm going to predict a Edina sweep.

I'm thinking...

Edina Hornets - 5
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks - 3

Edina Hornets - 4
Duluth East Greyhounds - 3

I think Edina will handle The jacks with no problem, but the east game might be a close one.

Edina 6- Jacks 2
Edina 5- East 3 E.N.

Edina may very well win this game.
But I guarantee that East is more than capable of winning this game also.
