I believe it's drunken debauchery tomorow, is it not?!

This Fat Tuesday thing is a pagan tradition with no connection to the joyous holy season of Lent.

But if you do partake my son, packerboy wants you to become inebriated responsibly.

One more day and Lent will be here.

I know that for a lot of Catholics its like little kids waiting for Christmas to come.

Its good to be here in Constantinople .

Over in the other provinces the persecution continues in the private vs public thread.

Not everyone has heard about "The Edict" I guess.

Plus , there are bands of Catholic renegades led by the pistol that are very dangerous. Pistol and his pals will probably eat meat tomorrow.

AHA plays Hutch tonight.

BSM goes up to Lindstom to play Chisago. Yaah, real good then. Lotsa Catholic Swedes up there, dontcha know.

On Ash Wednesday Eve, we support our teams on the road From Constantinople to St Paul

"Ash Wednesday Eve"?

C'mon, PB. Let's call it what it is... Fat Tuesday! Look - even distinguished members of the right have come to celebrate (even if they aren't Catholic):

Well Govs, I guess a little bit of partying before the great period of self deprivation that is Lent is OK.

Besides, if we get a bit naughty, we feel guilty and thats always good if you are a Catholic.

Speakng of feeling guilty, I missed Mother Angelica saying the Rosary on the Catholic channel last night. I must remember to DVR that. But I dont have much room left after recording all of those old Bishop Sheen shows.

Its great to have the Bishop and Mother along on the journey From Constantinople to St. Paul

Constantine freed us of our bondage and the pain of persecution.

Likewise, the Red PioRaidaStars are free to travel on the road that was closed to them from ancient times until the mid '70s.

All members of our Holy Alliance have responded with championships although Hill- Murray's last one was before pistol was born.

Due to recent attacks , we have invoked the additional protection of these guys who now travel with us:

Check with these guys too, they already patrol the road and they worked security for The "Stones" once. Not too many people died either.

Constatine did nothing that wasn't self-fulfillng.
He freed no one but set the groundwork for centuries of torment and discrimination allowing those seeking power and wealth to have their way.

Paul, on the other hand, was a man of God. Even if he chose to write science fiction sometimes. God filled him with how, not why.

Sorry, but sometimes the Truth needs to be presented to the sheep.

"Do not follow blindly the words and action of man for you will be led to
Parade or Colesium or BIG.
Close your eyes and hold the hand of God, and He will lead the Public to the X."

As we go down the road, all are welcome to join in our journey.

This March to St Paul is the defining moment in many lives and its getting closer as today marks the first day of Lent. Again, its been a long Wait and Until we arrive in the Holy City, we shall not rest.

Our proud teams last night won in convincing fashion. BSM by quite a lot over Chisago and AHA handed Hutch a 5-0 doughnut.

We celebrate all of these successes here in Constantinople where we are free from the persecution of those that would send us back to the catacombs.

Do not be swayed by the teachings of elliott , the heretic. His prophecies are false. He speaks with forked tongue.

With no games tonight, there is no excuse not to get to church. So get your ashes in gear:

If you genuflect and cross yourself the appropriate number of times.

Just as my ancestors the pillagers of the North, the Maruaders of ire-land, and the natives of the Great American Plains did, so will the RAMS and the WARRIORS cast the wealthy, self-serving, followers of a less than great man named connie, into the cold waters that flow behind the X.
The PUBLIC will be served.

With no games tonight, EXCEPT a huge clash in Section 7 and an old rivalry in the TC's, but they are only PUBLIC teams; so no games tonight I guess.

I'm looking forward to seeing Bruce again & also looking forward to him wearing a Pioneer jersey on stage to honor the 2008 Champs. Bruce was also thinking about St. Paul when he wrote, "It's hard to be a Saint in the city".

Its a great show Ppg. I saw him when he was here last fall and had a great evening.

The throng of Marchers on the road From Constantinople to St Paul continues to grow as we are now in the season of Lent.

We will feed the throng with fish, loaves of bread and of course, plenty of tuna fish casorole. The kind with the potato chips on top.

One thing I always enjoyed about being Catholic and going to a public high school was we made you guys eat that sh&% on Fridays in the cafeteria for lunch. It was our revenge for not letting us play in the MSHSL.

But lets focus on our teams.

CDH plays an important SEC game tonight vs Woodbury at Bielenberg. Packerboy will be there supporting the Raiders. It should be a good game.

HM takes on Simley and BSM plays St Francis.....why, I dont know.

AHA plays Shakopee.

How big has the throng gotten as we travel down the road?

See for yourself:

Well boys, when that one ended it felt like I was wearing one but it was a fun game.

Woodbury 2 CDH 1 in OT at Bielenberg.

Raiders led 1-0 and for most of the game and had lots of chances to build on that, including a penalty shot , then made one mistake at their own blue line and its tied. OT was the same thing. Thats hockey.

BSM, HM, and AHA won buy a combined score of about 30-0.

We will check in later with the weekend festivities on the road From Constantinople to St Paul.

Fist of all, Id like to remind everyone that it is a Friday in Lent and so no eating meat.

Also, you are all on notice that packerboy will not be a soft touch on granting special dispensations for Lenten obligations like last year.

So, get to Stations of The Cross and stock up on fish and no excuses.

Thsi weekend, AHA is off and BSM starts an extended vacation. I dont know exactly why they are taking time off but I am sure it has something to do with the observance of Lent.

HM is at the X vs STA. FSN will be televising this all Catholic battle in the afternoon right after cartoons are over. I'll have to get up early and get my chores done so I can watch.
Everybody is headed up to Mass at the Cathedral following the game. No need to even change parking spots.

CDH will try to bounch back from a real gut wrenching OT loss to Woodbury on Thursday night against da Bears from WBL Area on Sat night at Highland.
PB will be there and jackdaniels has promised to come so we can go out together after the game. I could use his company, its been a tough week.

The Raiders are out of the SEC race now but have to continue to play well as we travel down the road and sections start.

From Constantinople to St Paul we March with the devoted throng that includes pro wrestlers, rock stars, clergy and the faithful followers of our Holy Alliance.

Here is a shot of the gang out on the road:
